The comic strip Peanuts featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends began life in October 1950. The brain child of Charles M Schulz continued to be written and drawn by him up and his death in February 2000. The last ever NEW strip was published on the following day of his death 13 02 2000, however, his catalog of past work is still published in newspapers all around the world every day.
There is even a SNOOPY store in Tokyo which I visited a few years ago.
Here is my tribute to Mr Schulz's work, and also due to the terrible thing that has happened in Japan today, I would like to dedicate today's post to the people of the Great Nation Of JAPAN
