Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Thirteen The Return to The Museum

Jack and Phooey collected together all of the Weapons they had been using for training.  The Doctor was still very annoyed that his new friends. Not only had they broken into his Private Museum but had also taken some of the precious Artifacts without asking. However, he understood why it happened. Not that this was just cause to damage things in the process...... but nothing bad had happened as a result..... He Hoped !!!!

The Walk of Shame

As they left the training room and entered the corridor, The Doctor shuddered to think what could have happened if his two companions had accidentally damaged themselves or the Artifacts whilst training. To Jack and Phooey these appeared to be just weapons.....but The Doctor knew these were much much more. Ancient talismans that held great power. They had the power to do good in the right hands..... and in the wrong could destroy the Universe or even worse !!!!

Both Jack and Phooey were very silent as they walked back to The Museum, both in fact had become embarrassed that they had upset the Doctor and had betrayed his trust.  Jack was thinking of ways to apologise to "The Wizard".... how could he win back his trust ?     Phooey on the other had was now worried what good would he be without his "Little Book of Kung Fu"  ?

As they came around the corner, the three saw the door of the Museum. It was still open. I should have locked that....He Thought.

The final Destination

The Doctor stopped " After You " he said and with a gentle push urging  his companions forward.

The Doctor gives his companions a little bit of encouragement

Jack and Phooey reentered the room and looked around in awe.   They had been inside this room only a few hours before, but had not really spent time looking at what was on the walls.

Sam & Phooey look at the wonders inside

Many strange and wonderful things indeed.  Some they understood, others were as Phooey said out loud " Weird and Wacky !"

The Doctor stood back and smiled to himself.

"Ok Boys !" the Doctor said  and continued  " Once you have returned everything back to its proper place, how would you like a proper tour of  my Museum.? "

" I would like it very much  " softly spoke Jack         "So would I Doc ! " shouted Phooey.

First Jack lifted up Phooey to replace the Horned Helmet

Then Jack replaced the Long Sword underneath.

Then Phooey on tip toes placed the Machete back next to its matching pair.

Then Jack replaced the Gold and Silver Spear back behind the Armour where he had taken it.

And Finally Phooey returned the Jewelled Dagger back where it belonged.

The Doctor looked on and after the last piece had been replaced to where it belonged he beckoned them over to his side.

Every Thing Back Where it Belonged

The Collection was complete again.

"I promised to give you a tour of my Museum, but first you both must promise me you will not touch anything !" explained The Doctor

Both Jack and Phooey nodded in agreement.

"Where shall we start ?" pondered the Doctor

"OH Yes ... " Said The Doctor rubbing his hands together..... "lets start here ! He continued excitedly.

Next time The Doctor will point out a few Mysteries of The Museum and explain why it existed in the first place.

Until Then ENJOY !

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Twelve A Deadly Battle

The story continues......

The Doctor on finding that his Museum of Artifacts had been opened and items removed had left him feeling both annoyed and very worried. He had now found the location of where the Person or Persons who were responsible had gone. The Room within the Tardis The Doctor had gifted to Jack

Inside the Room that the Doctor had given to Samurai Jack

Looking through the Port Hole Window on the door the Doctor was shocked.

Inside he could not believe his eyes

Two people fighting !

But that was not the most worrying thing about the situation.... The Most worrying thing was what they were fighting with !

The Doctor thrust open the door !

And this was what he saw.

Samurai Jack and Hong Kong Phooey fighting with Swords....!

At the beginning both appeared to be too engrossed in their battle to notice The Doctor standing in the doorway, but once the Doctor had yelled "STOP THIS !"  Both Sam and Phooey stopped.

Sam slowly turned and showed annoyance that they had been interrupted, whilst Phooey gave The Doctor The Thumbs up and smiled.

The Doctor Yelled " You both Promised me ! "   This made Phooey drop his sword

Sam placed his Katana back into its scabbard and Phooey removed his helmet.

The Doctor continued his rant " I invite you into my home, and you disregard your promise to me about behaving yourselves and not fighting, then  You Brake into one of my Private Rooms, and Steal things ! ..... What do you have to say for yourselves  ?" Continued The Doctor  frowning at the pair.

"We only borrowed the things " Replied Phooey

" We were only Training " said Jack

"Yes " Piped up Phooey...... "Jack was giving me a lesson in Swordsmanship, trying to help me in preparing for the Battle with the Grand Master ! "

"Is this True Jack ? " asked the Doctor

"Yes Master Wizard, I was helping my little friend defend himself  against any evil we may encounter in the days ahead " explained Jack.

The Doctor walked up to the pair, who by now looked like to little school boys who had been court doing something they should not have been doing.

"IF that's all good and true" continued the Doctor, " But why did you break into my Private Museum and take things without asking ?

Then Jack explained that Phooey had told him in confidence that when he had left the Police station to go help with the Doctor's mission, he had neglected to bring with him his special book. Phooey explained that he need his book as it helped him with his special abilities.

Very sheepishly, Phooey explained that he had learnt all of his Kung Fu  abilities from a book, and had not spent years honing his Skills in a Mystic Monastery in the Tibet as had been reported in the Newspapers back in his home town.  A story he had never corrected or tried to Deny in anyway. Now without his book, Phooey believed he would be useless in any real battle.  Jack continued that he believed that Phooey's Heart was pure, and deep inside him was a real hero. Jack thought with a little help from him, he could make Phooey believe he was the Hero that everyone really thought he was. Instead of a fraud, that just got lucky at times.

" Alright " said The Doctor, "But that does not explain why you  thought you had the right to brake into my museum ?

Jack explained that once Phooey had told him about his plight, he started looking around the Tardis for something to use to help with his training. He reminded The Doctor that he had said to him that he should show Phooey around the Tardis, and did not think anywhere was out of bounds. When we found the Strange door my Katana "spoke" to me. It indicated that within the room was what I needed.

The Two brought to the door by the Jack's Katana

Jack prepares to strike
Jack chooses the right spot to make contact

The First Strike and The Lights Begin to Change

The Second Strike Breaks the Seal

The Doors Appear to have slightly Opened

The Doctor was a person of Science and Fact.... but he also believed that Jack's Katana  was forged by many ancient mystic deities to battle the evil "God" Aku.  Jack also said it contained the life force of  The Emperor and his dead Father too.  The Doctor excepted that only someone of a Pure Heart could weld the Katana, and this person would or could not lie. The Doctor in is many years of travelling knew that sometimes Science could not explain Magic, and some times items could contain the essence or the memories of a person. So if Jack believed his Katana told him that he needed to open the door, The Doctor did understand, but was still annoyed.

"Well you two I want you to put back everything you have taken" The Doctor  said pointing at the Helmet and Weapons in the room.

Next time , we will find out a little bit more about the Mysteries of the Time Lords Museum.

Until then ENJOY

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE.... Part Eleven.... What's That Noise ?

As the Doctor was reviewing the files on the next would-be  member of his team, he heard a noise from outside the main consul room . It sounded like someone was having a fight....... The Doctor knew who this was, and rushed off to investigate. "Not Again !" the Doctor muttered to himself.

Rushing down one of the many corridors the Doctor noticed that the noise had stopped, and as he listened to see if he could hear any other sound,  he stopped outside a door.

He did not have to look at the Sign over the Door to know what was inside.

The Gallifreyan word for "Museum of The Time Lords"

This was a  very important door. A door that he knew  had been opened,  as the special seals he had placed there had been broken.

THE DOOR SEALS HAD BEEN BROKEN, AND THE WARNING LIGHTS HAD CHANGED COLOUR

The door appeared to have been opened by force. All three seals had been sliced through by what The Doctor knew had to be an extremely sharp and powerful weapon.  A weapon very much like Jack's Mystic and Ancient Katana.....

ALL THREE DOOR SEALS HAD BEEN CUT BY FORCE

The Gallifreyan word for "DANGER DO NOT ENTER !"

The Door had been inscribed with a warning.... A warning that had been ignored. The Doctor steadied himself and placed his hands on the door handles, and just hoped that the person of persons inside had not damaged anything......

THE MUSEUM OF THE TIME LORDS

As the Doctor threw open the doors of his Museum of Artifacts he stepped in only to discover.... know one.......! The Room was unoccupied.

THE DOCTOR SURVEYS THE SITUATION

There was know one inside, that was good........But.... It was not who the Doctor saw or did not see inside that was the issue...... It  was what he saw was missing was his main concern, and this made both of  his hearts skip a beat.

" This is not Good " he said out loud

A WORRIED DOCTOR DOES NOT BELIEVE WHAT HE CAN SEE....

The Room was full of many wonderful artifacts that he had collected over the years . He could see that there appeared to be some items missing. Some very important items indeed. Some very Dangerous ones if handled incorrectly....

Empty Spaces on the Wall

Walking up the the rear wall of the Museum, he looked in disbelief , and then realised  the danger  that the missing artifacts could mean to anyone exposed to them.    Then hearing the noise of what the he thought was fighting again, the Doctor exited the Museum and went in search of it at great speed.

The Doctor could see that there were at least Three Artifacts Missing !
Rushing off in the Direction of the noise he realised it was coming from the Room he had given to Samurai Jack to meditate and practise  his swords skills.

THE DOCTOR RUSHES OFF IN THE DIRECTION OF NOISE....

Looking through the Port Hole window on the door, the Doctor was both shocked and Frightened. What were they doing ?

What The Doctor saw we will find out Next Time...

Until Then ....ENJOY!!!!
