BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON BITE

The Moon Bite would be the next Hero invited to become an AVENGING HOUND after he helped the team escape from Ancient Egypt where they had been sent after a battle with an enemy.

When I say Moon Bite helped the team return, it was really the spirit of the Khonshu, the ancient Egyptian GOD of the MOON.

Khonshu had many years before resurrected Bark Spector who had died trying to save the life of an archaeologist.  Bark had died at the feet of a statue of the Moon God .It was his belief that Khonshu had brought him back from the dead in order to be the his Knight of Vengeance.  Spector removed a cloak from the statue of Khonshu and confronted the person who had both killed him and the Egyptian Archaeologist and thus Moon Knight was born.

Returning to New Yorkie City, Bark started to use his new found powers and abilities to avenge wrong doers.  He created many secrete identities and aliases to allow him pass through the dark under belly of the city with ease.  The only thing was in the end each of these aliases started to have lives of their own.

Things became so bad that at times Bark Spector did not know who he was any more.   It appeared that the act of juggling the different persona's put a strain on Spector's mental health.

During this time the Spirit of The Moon God started to take over control of the Moon Bites actions too. And this is why both Bark Spector as the Moon Bite became WEST COAST Avenging Hound.

Moon Bite stayed with the WC AV  Hounds for some time, BUT when Bark realised that it was Khonshu, not him that wanted to be part of the team, Bark wrestled control of his Moon Bite identity away from the Moon God and took control again.

However, as a result The Moon Bite decided to leave the WC AV Hounds as he Bark Spector believed he would be better off as a lone agent.

Many years later The Moon Bite would become one of Canine America's Secret Avenging Hounds, doing the jobs that other AV Hounds could not or would not do.

The West Coast team would go on to open its doors as I have mentioned to The Viz-Hound and the Scarlet Bitch..... and also the wonderful Waspish Pooch would transfer from the East Coast Team for a while.

BUT that is another story for a later date.

That is the end of the tale of the West Coast Avenging Hounds for the time being.

Next Time it will be a NEW set of Heroes from a Different Universe completely.
