Yesterdays Heroes Once More. Part Ninety ....... Will the Plan Work ?

 The Doctor had  made the final adjustments to the Time Scoop. He stood back and looked at what he had built.

As he looked on, the Doctor was musing over in his head what he had created and what he hoped it would active correctly. This device should, if he had got his calculations correct,  result in releasing all of the excess energy Reggie had adsorbed from the renegade Time Lord Timeatron. This energy would then be passed into the Time Scoop activating the device  and sending all the items that had been stolen by Timeatron  back to their rightful original time periods...... This would included the dangerous Outlaw Johnny Ringo, who was still unconscious and hidden out of sight.

Whilst this was happening, Jack, Phooey and Manny had successfully lead the Multi Man's 5 Duplicates to a place they would be safe during the experiment.  Each of the Duplicates had played a part in reproducing items that The Doctor had needed to build his energy leasing device. The Doctor they knew that if just one of them got damaged and exploded into dust, the item they had helped make would disappear causing the experiment to fail.

The room Jack & Phooey had selected was very similar to the one The Doctor and the other members of the team had remained in.  It was a few corridors down from the one the Doctor was using. Far enough away to protect them and the duplicates, but still near that if required they could race back if needed. It was full of what seemed to be old office equipment and filing cabinets. Like many of the rooms that Phooey & Jack had explored whilst originally look for either Johnny Ringo or The Red Eyed Monk.... aka Timeatron this room was filled up of basically junk and unwanted furniture.

Phooey instructed all of the Duplicates to sit against the far wall, well away from the main doors. They silently obeyed these instructions.

Manny took up watch on the doors that did not have any internal locking devices.

He bobbed up and down nervously as his thoughts were with his 2 Team Mates Fluid Man and Multi Man. He hoped they would be safe staying with The Doctor.

 Jack looked around with hope of finding something to place through  the door handles to stop anyone trying to enter.

He spotted a broom and passed it through both handles, now if anyone pushed against the doors they would not open.

Phooey took the small Walkie Talkie out of his pocket and walked over to where Jack and Manny were standing. He then placed it onto the shelves to the right of the doors. This would allow any of the party to quickly answer it if needed.

Phooey gave Jack the Thumps Up, trying to make light of the situation.

Now all they had to do is wait.

Meanwhile....... The Doctor had gone over the plan for a final time so that every one knew exactly their roll in the process.

Multi Man made over 20 Duplicates of himself that stood in two Rows of 10 line a little way away from where Reggie was sitting. 

Fluid Man had found two buckets and had filled them with liquid that he made from the moisture he had found in the air. This was to aid him if he needed to Ice Up in  a hurry.

He carried the Buckets of  Water and stood behind the Line of Multi Men. Lee the Original Multi Man joined him. Peering though the Rows of  Duplicates, they looked on.

The Doctor was speaking to Reggie reminding him that once the power reached the Time Scoop he would need to interface with it telling it what to do.

He then turned to face the Wall of Multi Men, Lee and Walter peered through the gaps between them.

" Are we all ready Gentlemen ? " He said looking Directly at Lee and Walter 

" Yes we are " They both replied in Unison.

" Are you ready legion of  Muti Men ?" The Doctor then asked.

The line of Multi Men then raised their shields and shuffled closer together making a complete barrier with much smaller gaps between them.

They held their shields as to shield the face of their "Brother to their left hand side.

Once in position Lee, Walter and The Duplicates shouted  the Impossible's Battle Cry.

"RALLY HO !"

Now Walter and Lee's view of the event were now nearly almost blocked. 

The Doctor then turned towards Reggie.

" Reggie, are you ready ?" The Doctor said 

" Aye, Aye Captain " Reggie replied with a giggle.

Reggie nearly saluted the Doctor, but remembering his head was facing the wrong way, he knew that a careless gesture could knock the wiring that was now attacked to his head.

The Doctor walked over to the device that had been the bottom part of the vacuum cleaner and raised his foot. He raised it up the gently but firmly pushed the button......

 it made a loud clink......
