Radley Crowne aka The Blue Falcon was telling the Group how he became a Hero and Why.
This had turned into a most epic tale. Each part of it ended up with a cliff hanger, The Group waited silently for the next part.
Radley continued....
Radley had returned to his battered car. He was ready to drive out of the Cargo Bay when he heard a click behind him, and something hard pressed to the back of his neck. He instantly knew this was a gun, but who was holding it.
Radley looked at the Rear View Mirror, and into the eyes of someone he knew..... It was Snakes and he was holding a gun.
"Hello again Mr Blue ?" He laughted.
"Hello" Radley replied.
Snakes then smiled and pushed the gun harder against Radley's neck. Snakes was pointing the gun between the Helmet and the top of the Uniform. A place where he had no protection. Radley knew if Snakes fired he would certainly die.
"What would you like me to do ?" Radley asked.
"You can take me for a little ride, down to the Boat so you can meet the Boss. I am sure he would love to make your acquaintance" Snakes sniggered.
"Ok" replied Radley
Radley gently stepped on the Gas peddle and the car moved forward to the open door where earlier he had entered the Cargo Bay. He turned the wheel and proceeded to go down to the main quay where the boat was still moored.
"Can't you make this wreak go any faster ?" Hissed Snakes, who was getting annoyed with the slow pace of the vehicle.
"Yes" Replied Radley, and with that slammed his foot down on the Gas Peddle. This lurched the Car forward throwing Snakes backwards into his seat.
"I'm going to Murder You Blue" Yelled Snakes
But before Snakes could press the gun back at Radley's vulnerable neck, Radley lent forward and then threw himself backward as hard as he could. Snakes was reaching forward and bang his head made contact with the back of Radley's Helmet.
Snakes screamed and the Gun went off. Snakes screamed again and yelled out " Yous Broke me Nose, and made me shoot myself in the foot."
Radley looked into the mirror and saw blood pouring from Snakes' nose.
Snakes had lost the gun somewhere on the floor of the car, so he reached forward to throttle Radley, but Radley was prepared. In the seconds between headbutting Snakes and now he had retrieved his stun gun from the pocket of the yellow rain coat where it has on the seat beside him. Then just as Snakes put his hands around the back of Radley's neck, Radley pointed his gun over his shoulder and pulled the trigger. He hoped it still had some charge left. It did.
"I'm Blind , you zapped me in my eyes" roared Snakes
Before Snakes could again attempt to harm him, Radley flicked a switch on the dashboard, and a glass screen raised from the back of the front seat. This was a privacy screen that allowed people in the back to talk without the driver over hearing. Snakes could not see due to the stun gun, but it did not stop him from hammering on the glass screen with his fists. Radley knew that this was made of toughened glass so he was confident that it would not shatter.
All the while this was taking place the Car speed along the Quay towards the Boat. Two of the men Guarding the boat knew something was wrong and they started firing their weapons at the car.
Bullet hole now riddled the car, but Radley put his foot down and continued to travel near to the boat.
The windscreen was starting to crack more but it was still holding,
He had nothing to loose now, the car was a right off so he decided to drive the car into the side of the boat. With any luck he could cause enough damage as to make the boat no longer sea worthy.
On and on he sped and just before impact Radley threw himself out of the car door in into the sea. The car impacted exploded and also landed in the water. Radley hid in the water under the quay and watched as Mom's little Tank disappeared beneath the waves.
Still in the water he edged along the underside of the Quay and found a wooden ladder which he used the get him up out of the water. He was quite a distance from the Boat which now was ablaze at the front. The Guards and crew were trying to put it out and this allowed Radley to easily leave the scene.
He was soaking wet and a little bit battered, but he was alive. He made his way to the main gates of the Docks. He could hear police sirens. The Police were coming. He hid as many police Cars and a few motor bikes sped through the gates. Finally the a large BCPD van drew up and stopped blocking the gate. There were two officers inside. Radley needed to get passed them if he wanted to escape being arrested himself. He had assorted at least 5 of the gang and crew, he had caused damage to a sea vessel, and there was Snakes. He was in the car when it sank. Could he be charged with manslaughter too, or even Murder.
Then in the distance he could hear Gun fire. It sounded like a war zone. Then one Police officers raced back on his motor bike. He told the driver of the Van they need the contents of the van. The officer jumped off of his motor bike then jumped into the back of the Van, and from what Radley glimpsed it was full of weaponry and protective clothing. With that the Van sped off towards the conflict, leaving the Officers Motor Bike by the gates.
"Please, Please, Please" Radley muttered to himself as he ran over to it. Yes in all the rush the Office had forgotten to remove the keys. Radley jumped on and sped away from the scene.
Within a hour he was back at Crowne Tower. He had dumped the Motor Bike in the Park and quickly made his way back to the underground garage. Passing the wreck of his E Type Jaguar "Emma"
Once inside the Garage he quickly removed his outfit and threw it into a closet. Then retrieving Reggie made his way up to his Penthouse apartment.
Once upstairs he fed Reggie and took a long shower. Now he needed to make some phone calls. Radley hoped that the phones were working. They were. He rang the Manson to see if everyone was alright. They were, and from the conversation he had they had not yet heard of the deaths of Penny and Parker. That news he decided to keep to himself for the moment.
He then gave some orders and hung up and made a few more calls. Then he sat down and fell asleep.
Dead on 9.00 am Radley was awoken by telephone call from his Lawyer Marcus Most. Radley had rung him and requested him to make a few purchases. Marcus confirmed that he had done these, however the costs were much higher than he hoped. If he had given him a little longer he could have saved him a lot of money, But as Radley reminded Marcus that being one of the Richest persons in the country he could afford it.
Later that afternoon, Radley got a call from .......Chief Ramsey. He confirmed that they had found the stolen Rolls Royce, and had made some arrests. He was not at liberty to give more information at this point. He arranged to come visit Radley in a couple of days, as he was busy tying up loose ends from the night of the storm.
The following day the news papers were full of the arrest of JJ Biggles and his gang. There was not much of a story, mostly speculation. However, one of the Newspapers had taken a picture that showed that Snakes had not drowned. Another showed Rita, slapping her husband in the face. Poor JJ, Radley smiled to himself.
A few days later Chief Ramsey arrived at Crowne Tower to meet with Radley as promised.
He told him about finding the stolen Car, and the multiple arrests down at the docks. Many Police Officers had been injured in the fire fight, but luckily no one died. He said they had evidence that a guy working for JJ Biggles called Montgomery Pythons aka Snakes had committed murders of Mr & Mrs Parker. That sent a shiver down Radley's spine. But the Police department had yet to fully charge him as he appeared to have had a complete mental breakdown.
"Kept going on about a Blue Man who could not be killed, who threw red lightning from his hands, and had a Big Blue Indestructible Car with a magic invisible wall in it " Said Ramsey " Quite Mad, I asked him what became to the car, and told me it turned into a Submarine and sailed away.. " he continued.
Radley thought to himself.....Yes there was a Blue Man, Yes his suit had deflected Snakes bullet, Yes the Stun Gun's discharge did look like Red Lightning, Yes Mom's Little Tank was nearly Indestructible, and had the Glass Privacy Wall..... and had Sunk into the Sea.
"Crazy" Radley nodded rubbing his chest were Snakes had shot him.
Then Ramsey said " There was someone that they wanted to find, he could have been part of the gang that escaped. Stole one of my Officers Motor Bikes. And then dumped it in the Park. We thinks name was Lou Malcolm. Have you ever heard the name Lou or Louis Malcolm Mr Crowne ? "
"No, not to my knowledge" Replied Radley.
Then Ramsey apologized for taking up so much of Radley's time. As Radley walked him to door Chief Ramsey turned. and said " I forgot to congratulate you on latest acquisition !"
"Which one ?" Radley replied playing dumb
" I understand you bought the Docks." the Chief continued
"Yes that deal has been on the cards for months, I wanted to try to improve the area" Radley continued.
"By the way Mr Crowne, if you get a chance to dredge down by the Docks, see if you can find the Indestructible Car. " Ramsey laughed, as did Radley.
Then he continued... " Haven't I seen you driving around town in a Big Blue Car ?"
"Yes, I call it Mom's Little Tank, our Chauffeur called it Bomb proof, but I never got the chance to find out if that was true" Radley said chuckling.
"Would you like to see it ?" asked Radley
"Yes it sounds Marvelous" was the reply.
Radley took the Police Chief down to the garage, and showed him the car.
There was Mom's Little Tank all Bright and Shiny. It looked splendid.
Chief Ramsey looked a little confused, " That hood ornament, was it unique to your car." he inquired.
"I think my Father designed it, as he did some of the safety features but I have seen others with a similar crest. It is basically a 1965 Chrysler Imperial with a few extras. This is called The Crown Special. I know they built more than one. Why did you ask ?" said Radley looking directly into the Chiefs eyes.
" Well I found this down by the Docks" The Chief held out a piece of blacken metal. It was part of a hood ornament that looked very much like the one he was standing beside.
He handed it too Radley who held it up to the one on his car. They matched.
"Wow, that's amazing" Said Radley "But my car is here all in one piece. I never allow anyone to drive it but me! They could scratch the paint work " it he add handing the fragment back to Ramsay.
Both Men smiled, and Radley opened the Garage outer door and walked the Chief out into the street.
" I understand that another one of your cars got trashed" said The Chief looking at two workman painting the wall just outside the Garage door.
" Yes, I Parked it out here to Make Room for the Rolls Royce inside. However I forgot to put it back inside after I knew what had happened to Mr & Mrs Parker. Unfortunately when the storm hit it tore up a tree from the Park and deposited it on top of Emma my E Type Jaguar. A complete write off. Those workmen are from my Mansion, and are marking repairs to the wall that got damaged at the same time." Radley explained. Well some of the story was true.
"By the way Mr Crowne, where were you during the storm ?" Asked Ramsey
" Up in my Apartment watching the storm with my dog Reggie "came the reply. " Oh that reminds me, I promised to take him Walkies before Lunch. Good bye Chief !. Said Radley
After shaking hands Radley turned and started to walk inside.
" Mr Crowne , Lou Malcolm, if you happen to bump into anyone with that name you will let me know" Shouted Chief Ramsey.
Continuing to walk into the garage Radley waved and shouted " Will do Chief " and closed the garage door.
With that Radley looked at every one in the meeting room and said
"The End"
"No its not" shouted Hong Kong Phooey
"No , Mr Crowne there must be more" said Zan. Jayna nodded in agreement
"Yes, there is more Uncle Radley, you told us before" Jace and Jan said in unison.
" Yes, My Blue Friend, there are questions that need answering " Boomed Samurai Jack
" Yes, my dear boy. There are a few loose ends that need a bit of explaining" said The Doctor
"Okay, okay..... I need another drink first then I will answer all your questions." Said Radley
