Goofy has been friends with Mickey Mouse since 1932..... what is Goofy, well he is basically a dog, but unlike Pluto he can walk on two legs and can talk. Originally call DIPPY DAWG he went from being a back ground character to become one of the major Disney Stars. His name Goofy is thought to be a nickname, and Goofus D Dawg his real name.
He may come across as a bit of a dim wit, but this is his charm, he can and is very bright, but his ungainly body sometimes is hard for him to control. Mind over matter comes to mind.
