IT'S A DAWGS LIFE: Yesterdays Heroes once again Part Seventy Eight ....... Reggie goes AWOL

Both Phooey and Jack watched and waved as The Impossibles plus The Doctor walked towards the Reception Desk. The stood for a moment both deep in thought As they thinking about how they could hide Reggie from being spotted by any of the Hotel Staff or guests. They were very near both Elevators, so sooner or later some one would be exiting one of them.

Turning around they both surprised to find that Reggie had vanished.

" You don't think he had taken off after Mr Grumpy. You know how upset he was getting in the elevator earlier !" Phooey said to Jack.

" Well if he did, I would not blame him, as That Rude Man said some nasty things to us all." Replied Jack

Both of them frantically looked around the area they were standing in. Then Jack tried a door marked private. He rattled the door knob, but the Door was locked. Reggie could not be inside.

Phooey found the doors to the stair well. Reggie may have used it. He opened the doors and shouted out " Reggie ! Reggie !.... His voice echoed up the Stair well, but there was no reply.

He rejoined his friend Jack. He had not found any clue to where Reggie had disappeared to.... But then they heard a quiet giggling sound . It sounded very strange, very deep and echo like.

"Can Reggie turn invisible, like the Space Ghost ? " Jack asked Phooey.

" I don't know, I don't think so, I am sure he would have used it before we entered the Hotel. " replied Phooey.

They both looked around themselves, where was Reggie ?

" Reggie, Reggie... where are you ? " Whispered Phooey

The they heard a giggle. It sounded like Reggie, but a little more deeper and it had an echo to it.

"Reggie !" Jack said in a really gruff tone.

" Here I am " Reggie replied..... but both Phooey and Jack could not see him.

" Are you invisible ?" Whispered Jack who was getting a little bit annoyed.

" Nope !" Reggie replied.

Both Jack and Phooey turned around as they both believed that the voice was coming from behind them.

" Show yourself now " Commanded Jack trying not to let his voice travel.

" Yes you better tells us where you are, or I will tell The Doctor you have been a very naughty boy " Added Phooey who was too fed up playing hide and seek with the Mechanical Mutt.

Jack held on to his little buddy to reassure him, he knew that it took a lot to get Phooey upset.

Then still giggling Reggie's popped up out of a rather large Urn that was right by where they standing.

"You won't tell the Doctor I hid from you ?" Said Reggie

"No" Phooey replied and Jack agreed.

Reggie started to smile.

Both Jack and Phooey were relieved that Reggie had not run off. .... and as much as they both did not appreciate the joke, at least Reggie had discovered somewhere to hide.

"Keep you head down, I think one of the Elevators is coming down." Whispered Phooey.

Reggie lowered his head just a there was a loud Ping and the Elevator doors behind them slide open.

As two ladies exited, Jack and Phooey got a glimpse of the Man who they believed was called Mr Ancient. Jack and Phooey moved a little bit closer to get a better look at this Elevator Controller.
