Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Thirty.... Sports and a Slip Up !

 Over Lunch Wayee continued the tale of his meeting and marrying his late wife Puree

Wayee had place his tablet on the table to show the Young King some more pictures to help convey the story a little easier.

Wayee then contiued......

Wayee or Ayee-Wok as he was now called, had enrolled on many courses. As the Classes could contain over a Thousand Students it was impossible for Wayee to know that in most of his Classes he took was the Woman that he would one day marry.

The relationship between Lym, Fax and himself was great. All had become good friends. Lym was now more happy taking the lessons he understood, whilst Fax took on the others.

 Lym Muttin had been approached by the Academy's Sports Club to take part in the end of years Sports Day. Lym was very strong and fast and had been accepted onto the Pogo Ball Team many weeks before. Wayee encouraged this, as if Lym turned out to be a Star Player, the Academy Board may over look his failings in some of his academic subjects. The Board had Pride  to say they produced many outstanding students over the years, in all walks of life. This included Sport, Especially Pogo Ball which was the most watch Sport in the Empire.

LYM the Rising Star Play of the Academy Pogo Ball Team 

Fax helped out by teaching Lym some "special" moves that could help make him a better player. On the Last Day of the Academic Year all the Students and Staff gathered to see the Sports Day. The Pogo Ball Game came at the end of the celebration of Sport. The Pogo Ball Team made up of Students would take on a professional Team from The Ankarian Pogo League.  The Students would usually loose to the professionals, but the idea was scholarships could be awarded to talented players. Lym did not need as Scholarship, as his educational fees were paid for by the Royal Family in secret. BUT if he Won one he could use this to secure his future now at the Academy and possibly find a Career in the Highly paid sport of POGO BALL. Pogo Ball had been played for years. It was based on stories told of the Battle's between the 13 Tribes.  This year the Processional Team were the  DEVROS DEVIL DOGS.  Their Captain was PETA  BIB, had been a student at the Academy many years before and was the most famous player at that time.  

The Pogo Stadium was full to bursting. Most of the audience were made up of Students, with many famous guests invited too.  Wayee and Max were standing to the watch the game along with a friend that they had made , Mixi Mosta, a kind but nervous character.  In front of them stood a student that Max knew as Chipt, a Girl with short hair called Mita Tikka.  On his other side of Chipt was a girl Max said he had seen but never met, but to the side of  her was Vinni Waloop who Max had trained with at the Gym.  Vinni was  hoping to be picked for the Pogo Team, but had broken his ribs a few weeks previous. In front of them was a bunch of students Wayee did not like. Jisper Snell, a bald nasty person who believed as he was rich he could insult anyone he wished. Next to him as Skanka Shedd. Skanka was also from a rich family and was only attending the Academy to spend time partying with her friends. Then their was Clari Minions, Clari's Father owned  Minions Mining which made him one of the richest people in the Empire. ...BUT Clari's Father had no care for any of his employees, many of which had died over the years due to poor safety standards at the mines. This attitude of not worrying about anyone else had rubbed on on his Son Clari.   A Trio of three of the most nastiest people Wayee had ever meet. He tried to keep clear of them as much as possible. 

Watching the Game at four people who would become friends.... two would become even closer 

The game was better than anyone had expected. A good number of the Student team, 13 in total performed well. Lym was outstanding and had scored most of the Goals for the Academy Team. In the final seconds of the game the score stood at 301 for the Students and 350 for the processional team. The Professional Team were starting to celebrate their win when Lym grabbed the  Green Pogo Ball by his Pogo Crook, and ran the length of the pitch and deposited the Ball in the Central Goal Pocket. This meant that the Students had won the game by ONE point. The central goal which was always the most difficult to hit, and would sore 25 Points.... but as Lym had scored with the Green Pogo Ball it doubled the score and awarded them 50 points. 

The crowds of students cheered, as did the guests who were in attendance. Even the professional team started to clap and cheer. They hosted Lym on to their shoulders and the whole of the audience started to chant LYM LYM LYM. Their Captain present Lym with his winners medal and present his own Pogo Crook as a mark of respect.

The Young Wayee grabbed a hold of his friend Fax who was sitting beside him. They both started jumping up and down, then Wayee slipped and fell forward  but was saved by two the arms that belonged to a beautiful girl. This was Puree who had been sitting in the row in front. They had never officially met, but they recognized each other from some of the Classes they attended. Standing beside Puree was Chippt who was known to Fax. Everyone knew Fax, being the only Barktoon on Campus made him stand out some what.  Wayee thanked her for saving him.... She smiled and told him she was worried that  if he had fallen on Vinni he could have had even more cracked ribs..... Puree and Wayee laughed, but Vinni stormed off in disgust. There was an instant spark between Wayee and Puree, and when he invited her and what she told him was her brother  Chipt to meet his flat mate Lym, the star of the Games they both agreed.  

Both Wayee and Puree soon started to spend more time together. Puree even invited Wayee to help in her designs for the secret artificial moon project.  Chippt was happy with this and also invited Fax to help with any input he could offer.  At the start of the 2nd Year at the Academy  the foursome had made some great advances, and Puree and Ayee (Wayee) were inseparable. Lym was now the Star Player on the Pogo Pitch and would spend any free time with the other four.  Puree was fond of Lym, and did not worry when Lym would join her and Ayee on walks and trips. Ayee wanted to tell her he was his body guard, but was unable. Puree thought of Lym as a chaperone. If her Father was to discover she was seen alone with a Son of a Rich Farmer he would be annoyed. But being seen with in a group, she could make anyone believe they were just friends.  

Lym in the mean time had focused on sport since being awarded a scholarship from the Academy, He still lived with Fax & Wayee, and still performed his duties as a secret body guard... and he had become fond of Puree and her brother too.

During the 3rd and final year at the Academy news was announced that King Drype had died and now First Prince Beya was now King..... And as such Wayee's life was about to change...Forever....

But in the Tardis an Alarm had sounded. " Oh my Goodness", said the Doctor shutting his journal "We have arrived" He continued.

Both Hong Kong Phooey and Samurai Jack  both looked disappointed. They both eager to hear more of this story.....

"Lets meet the next member of the Team first !" the Doctor smiled.....

" You Will enjoy meeting him " He added. 

Putting the Scrolls and the Journal back on their hiding place beside the wall, The Doctor ushered them both out of the room and into the  Main Consul Room.  The Time Rota was still moving, but many of the lights and dials were flicking Red.....

 " That's Not Good !!! " Shouted the Doctor " Hang on "
