YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE... Part Sixty Five in search of The Impossibles

The Doctor had returned to the Main Console Room and had asked Thaddeus and Radley  aka Space Ghost and The Blue Falcon to join him.

As they entered the room the time rota on the central console stopped moving up and down. They had arrived.

The Doctor checked the settings. Yes this was correct date and the correct place.  New York 11th September 1966. The Tardis had handed on one of the skyscrapers  as not to draw attention to its self. It was 9.00 pm at night. So hopefully no one would have noticed a Blue British Police Box appearing out of nowhere.

"Now, we know that the Impossibles are living in this era but we do not know where they are." Said The Doctor to his friends.

Then he explained that he along with them needed to work together trying to get a lead on their exact location. He thought that Space Ghost with his knowledge of future technology and The Falcon's knowledge of the time and era they could search for clues must faster than he could have done on his own.

Although this era was not as advanced with computers and data bases they could still tap into some information via Radio, TV and Records held at the New Papers and Public libraries.

It took a while but The Falcon found a News Story that the Rock Group The Impossibles had performed the previous week at a venue in San Francisco. However the concert had to be abandoned as during the show a man dressed as a cowboy had tried to rob the cashiers office at the venue and had ended up in a gun fight with the local law enforcers.  A group of three colourfully dressed persons had stepped in and had successfully disarmed him and handed him over to the police. However, later on at the Police Station he had disappeared from a locked  Police Cell. However, the Guns he had been using appeared to be original Colt revolvers from the late 1800's.  These too where discovered to have  also disappeared from the evidence room.   There was the Police Mug shot of the Cowboy. Something about the face reminded The Doctor of someone he had possibly met ....

The Police only had the name that the Cowboy had given them .... Which was Johnny Ringo. The Police would not comment on who the mystery heroes had been, but said they were thankful that no one got hurt.

"I think we have our Men, and a bit of a mystery at the same time" said The Doctor

"Johnny Ringo, I am sure that was the name of a Hired Gun Fighter from the Days of the Old Wild West. I used to love reading Cowboy Books as a Boy " Said The Falcon

"Yes" said the Doctor rubbing his chin. "Yes indeed"

The Doctor thanked Thaddeus and Radley for their assistance and asked them to return back to the meeting room, and once there could they send Jan & Jace along with Phooey, Jack and Dyno-Mutt to him here in the Consul Room as he needed them.

As the two left The Doctor changed the controls and set them to a week before the location this time San Francisco, September 3rd 12 O'Clock Noon. That would give them about 7 hours before the Impossibles were due on stage.  As he pulled the switch to started the time rota, Jace , Jan and Reggie burst through the door, followed shortly by Jack and Phooey.

"You Wanted us" Jan said

"Yes, I did. I have a little job for you twins, it involves the others" He said with a smile.

What was the Doctor Planning.

Find out Next Time

Until then ENJOY !
