YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE PART Eighteen..... The End of The War of The Realms

As the King of The Farllon  Cez - Arr was on the brink of destroying Ankar the last remaining  Great House in the Galaxy, he  mysteriously died.  The Kings Doctors found no trace of foul play, but many believe he had been poisoned by one of the many concubines and slave girls the King had.

He was succeed by his son.......  The Name on the Scroll  had been destroyed either on purpose or was not known.

The Scroll would only give his name as " The Young King " in further references. The Doctor explained that all history is dependent on who writes it. He knew that a missing  name or wrong spelling was not always intentional or suspicious. However, the Doctor did say that they only known likeness of The Young King was incomplete as the face had been damaged.

Phooey and Jack noticed that there were some symbols  that they could not read on this text.

They inquired what these meant. The Doctor explained that Rassilon  at times used his own coded script in some of his scrolls.  "He did love keeping secrets " the Doctor said frowning.
The Doctor looked hard at the text next to the rubbed out image of the Young King

"But from what I can translate the writing it reads" continued the Doctor

"It reads either  King ........  The Great Peace Maker or The Grand Peace Master !"  said the Doctor unrolling the scroll further.

The Negotiations Continue 

The Doctor continued the story...

During the next few weeks as The Farllon  spent time finalizing the change of power from the Old King to the Young King . During this time of mourning all hostilities ceased. However, the Great War fleet of The Farllon stayed in obit above the Planet Karank  the Central Planet of The Ankar Empire. In fact it was sole and only planet that was not under The Farllon control through out what had been originally 16 Realms.

During this period the Young King spent  much time researching all of the records that his Father and forefathers had amassed on The Ankar. Where his Father believed he had little need to study his enemy, only attack and destroy,  the Young King believed if you got to know your enemy you could find their weakness's and any unknown strengths.

Growing up the Young King had spent time studying all the Races of the Great Houses. The Young King was not born to rule, as he was the youngest of 5 brothers..... but one by one his older brothers had died. CEX -ISST, ZEST -ARR,  PINN  -ARR, WOO -TAR and then came the youngest who's name had been forgotten.

The King had a wife,   The Lady  SADE - ISST, she was his cousin.  She was Queen of the Farllon.  Her Grandfather  REYZ - ISST had been king, and as the eldest daughter of the Clan of ISST was always destined to marry a King.  She was the birth Mother of the Kings Eldest Son CEX -ISST, and  although the King Fathered children by many other woman over the years,  all Royal Son's of a King as long as they were  of noble and pure Farllon blood could ascend to the Throne of Farllon. As she was the Queen,  all the Royal Princes' called Lady SAD - ISST  "mother" as was the custom. Many of the Princes's did not know who their real mothers were, but this was not an issue.

The Doctor explained that Farllon names usually used the part of the birth mothers clan name. This would give indication to the persons social standing. The King was from the ARR Clan, his wife was Clan  ISST..... The King had sons from other woman from other clans including ARR , ISST  and TAR. He had many daughters too, but females had little worth to him as they could not rule.

The Doctor found a likeness of the Queen as he unrolled the scroll further.

The Doctor continued the story of the other Royal Princes of Farllon, all of whom were older, and should have could of ascended to the Royal throne before the young Unknown Prince.... but fate made sure they did not....

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Seventeen ..... The Great War of the Realms

Before the conflicts began all 16 Great Houses had an equal share of the known Galaxy . Without the Central Parliament Planet  with its links to all other 15 Areas most conflicts started with the neighboring races.

And over the Next  Few Thousands  years, many of the Empires fell and were taken over by their neighbors  and once allies.

The First Reals to fall were...... The Farllon defeated the Zull          Betramma defeated the Evarateen     The Cambriana defeated  The Neetine  and the Zefti were defeated by the Ankar. The  Ston'apon and Dumbol races made an alliance, they hoped that a joint force would help make them stronger.

The Victors took on the sector they had conquered and the Wealth and People became part of their Realm

 In the Next 2000 years

The X-Alin were beaten by the Ankar      The Farllon defeated the Moxitate and the Pharom Empires  The Camriana race seemed more content to just defend its borders than take direct action against anyone else. Whilst the  Ston'apon and Dumbol Alliance stood strong, but cracks had started to appear. . 

In the Next 50,000 Years

The Farllon added the Poottom Realm to its growing Empire       The Barktoon Nation was overthrown by the Betramma . However, the Betramma  space was in two parts , thus causing them to need to be careful on all of their borders. And Ankar seeing a chance to reduce their losses and hopefully finding some glimmer of peace  joined the Ston'apon - Dumbol Alliance who had added the Camriana space to their own after a long blood battle. 

Over the next 100,000 years Only Three Regions remained. 

The Farllon now controlled half of the 16 Realms after adding  The Noxetta Realm to their own....  and taking some of what the Betramma's had won in the past. However this allowed parts of the Realms that had belonged them to be stolen by  The Ankar-Ston'apon - Dumbol Alliance.

However in a shift of fates the Ankar-Ston'apon -Dunbol Alliance started to retake what they had lost.... and more

The 3 Realm Alliance had become fractured after so many centuries of war, and as they destroyed themselves from within they did not seen that the Farllon had now taken the Betramma  Realm and most of their Space as well . The Ankar King tried to contain a bitter hated that had slowly began to grow between the original members of the Alliance. They began spending more time fighting with each other than concentrating on what the Farllon had achieved.  The Ankar King had realized that the Alliance was over and was able to secure a small part of what they once controlled as his own.

The War continued for another few Million years, with different fractions wining and then losing battles in the war. Some of the races that had been conquered no longer existed as a pure race. As interbreeding and  disease had taken its toll on some.  However, there were small pockets of the different people of the 16 Realms who managed to keep away from the war, and although the names of the original people of the 16 Great Houses of the Universe may have been forgotten, some of their  children still existed.

Now there was only two remaining houses. The Farllon who controlled more than 93% of  the then known Universe and The  Ankar  who held little more then their original  Realm.

After nearly an estimated  Billion Years only Two Empires-Kingdoms  Remained.... of what had been 16 Great Houses of the Universe. Both Kings were direct descendants of the Leaders who took their nations into war in the first place. Both were Kings who wore the Crowns their forefathers had worn. Only one King had regret  the cost of the War and loss of life on all sides. The other King only wanted one thing Victory.  Total Victory.

To win the war would be good, but what was the cost...... ? The devastation and hardship it had caused would live much longer after the final battle had ended. Would there be peace again ? Could there be peace again.

 King CEZ - ARR the Victorious leader of The Farllon and soon to be total ruler of the 16 Realms

Weyee , King  of The Ankar offered total surrender so to spare this people and his families lives. The King of The Farllon wanted total victory and refused to accept the surrender. And as he brought all of the War Ships he commended in orbit around   Karank  the Central Planet of The Ankar
System .  Their King and Leader of The  House of  FALLON      King CEZ -ARR  the Vicious DIED..... unexpectedly.

The Old King Cez-Arr was replaced by his son..... But the Young King was not as his father. His Father had wanted total Victory...... But The Young King wanted something more.

This was the Old Kings Dream , but was this his successors dream too ? What did the Young King of Farllon want. ?

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE Part Sixteen The Secret behind the Wall

Last Time the Doctor had reluctantly decided to tell his companions about the history behind the weapons they had borrowed. And was at present studying the wall in an alcove in the Museum.


The Doctor Continued to study the Roundels on the wall. As if he was looking for some thing.

Both Jack and Phooey looked at each other is puzzlement.


The Doctor then reached out his hands and touched on of the Roundels and stepped back.

THE DOCTOR LOOKS AT THE WALL OF THE ROOM

HE FINDS WHAT HE IS LOOKING FOR

THE  DOCTOR HOLDS OUT HIS HANDS

AND TOUCHES THE RIGHT ROUNDEL 

IT STARTS TO GLOW AND THE DOCTOR BACKS AWAY

THE ROUNDEL STARTS TO FLASH 

IT CHANGES COLOUR 

ONE BY ONE OTHERS FOLLOW SUIT

UNTIL 7 ROUNDELS HAVE CHANGED COLOUR

THE WALL THEN STARTS TO FLASH 

A SECRET PANEL APPEARS 

IT BEGINS TO SLIDE OPEN

INSIDE THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME ROLLS OF OLD PAPER 

THE DOCTOR INSPECTS THE ROLLS

THE DOCTOR REACHES UP AT ONE OF THE ROLLS

RETRIEVING THE ROLL WITH THE RED MARKINGS HE TURNS TO FACE HIS FRIENDS

BEHOLD OF THE SCROLLS OF RASSILON 

These  are some of the Scrolls of Rassilon , one of my races greatest leaders and maybe one of the most ruthless Time Lords ever. " said the Doctor softly

The Doctor continued " Although he never actually wrote them himself I must add , but these Scrolls represent some of the History of the Universe and its connection with The Time Lords.

Taking the Scroll with the Red Cipher  from its hiding place, he returned to where his friends were standing .


Unrolling one of the aged parchments, The Doctor staring to explain in detail what they represent and the story they told.

The Scroll of Rassilon and the tale of The First Great War of Realms 

The Doctor continued speaking and he began to tell the tale of a once great Universe full of Planets  and races that had existing long before most other of the now know Universe today. Races even older than the Time Lords themselves.  Even older than some of the Elders of the Galaxy.

Unrolling the parchment more, The Doctor showed the 16 Sections, These represented the 16 Empires or Great Houses  that at that time existed.

At first Jack and Phooey were unable to understand the writing on the Scroll, but after a while both began to be able to translate the text in front of them.  The names of each of the 16 Great Houses now were  more than the squiggles and circles they had originally looked like.

When the Doctor had first met the Japanese Samurai Jack he had explained that one of the benefits of spending time in his Tardis would be that the ability to speak and understand the language of others.  So to Jack ever ones speaks Japaneses  in a dialect appropriate to the time he was from.  In the same way, Hong King Phooey believes everyone speaks English.... with an accent.

The Doctor explained that all 16  Great Houses lived in harmony with each other. They were all linked by a central planet that was called  by a name now long forgotten, but it translated as Peace or Peaceful Place. On this Planet representatives from all 16 Empires gathered and would oversee that Peace  and Harmony was upheld, and any dispute between members of any of the 16 Empires was bought to an amicable resolution.

Each of the 16 Great Houses ruled over an area equal to its 15 Neighbors. Everyone was each others equal. Well that was the idea.

Each Empire was ruled by a  Leader either a King, Queen, Emperor or Empress. Each of the Empires was represented by a Crown. This crown was seen as the Ultimate Power of each Empire. And thus a mark of worth and identity.

Each of the 16 Great Houses had a name. A name of the species they were from.

Each of the Great Houses had unusual names thought Phooey.  "What did these people look like  ? " he inquired

" I will get on to that in a minute " said the Doctor unrolling some more of the Scroll.

He continues his story that Peace had remained for Millions of Years, with all conflict being avoided by the Parliament of the 16 Houses, that sat in Judgement on the central planet of peace. Each Ambassador would represent who ever was the Leader of their House.

This has been the way for Millions of Years, until

One day without warning central planet of Peace exploded.  This destroyed the Peaceful Parliament of Empires. No one knew why it happened or who was responsible. However, it did not take long before some of the 16 Empires began to fight between  themselves.  Each Empire had its suspicion to who had caused this to happen. Most had a hatred of at least one other Empire. Others hated all others and used this as an excuse to wage war.

Within weeks battles between Empires had started. Or as it became to be called... The  Great War of Realms.

Without the Peace planet and its Parliament, all 16 Great Houses could not communicate with each other at the same time. Each of the Leaders of the 16 Houses had lost some of their people who had been serving on the Peace Planet. Many of the Ambassadors were either highly respected by each  of their own leaders, and in many case they were blood relatives. So the loss was felt as a personal attack on the Leader him or herself.

So one by one the Leaders of the 16 Great Houses declared War on all others.

"Here it is !" Said the Doctor. "These are drawings of the 16 Leaders at the Start of the Great War of the Realms. " he continues unrolling the Scroll some more.

"Here they are " Said the Doctor..... and continued " Remember these likenesses may not be a true reflection of the individuates "


"Some of Rassilon's Scribes may have used some artistic licence"  Smirked The Doctor

Blue Skinned Ankar Race.  Peaceful and Helpful to others. They looked very alike to the Farllon's, but if mistaken for one would get very upset and turn the air blue with foul language . 

The Queen of The Neetine was as Beautiful as were all its People. .... But their beauty came at a cost, they would rather make love than war,  leaving them very open to be conquered 

The Grey Skinned Priestess of Pharom . Her people all highly Religious. Although they believed in Sacrificial burning of members of their race that did not conform  the Ancient  law of its Gods.

The Moxitate were a Reptilian Race that although looked frightening were kind and most considerate to others. However, they saw the Dumbol Race as nothing more than pray or FOOD due to their small Mammal- like looks. The Moxitate race that were also know to eat its own young when food was in short supply.  

The Miniature Leader of the Dumbol . Part Mammal Part Inter galactic  Dwarf . They were mystical and had a strong affection for the Ston'apon Race  But feared the Moxitates.  To be truthful, due to their small size the Dumbol feared everyone.

  

X-ALIN  the People all excelled in Arts of Magic both Light and Dark. Their Queen was a Witch who used her powers to enthrall and bewitch others. She was never to be trusted as she could and did use her abilities to get her own way all the time.

The People of Poottom were a race of Cyclops . They did not see "EYE to EYE" with anyone with more Eye's than themselves. Many of the other Great Houses Found the Poottom very short sighted in their views. 

The Zefti were a bird like race.  They had once had wings, but lost the ability to fly thousands of years ago due to inter breading. Egg laying by the Female Zefti was still a practice of the poor of the population. Whilst Rich Modern Zefti had their Eggs removed and placed in artificial Nests.

The Evarateen had their Genes spliced with Lupines and were great hunters and  fighters , They had hunted the Dumbol  Race before the Great Peace... but it is rumored that they still enjoyed hunting them.  The Evarateen also hated water, and found bathing repugnant to them. Many found the smell of the Evarateen disgusting. 

The Pink Skinned Betramma had the ability to Read Minds.... And Caste Illusions.  They were not trusted by others due to this. "Never Trust A Betramma " was a saying among the other races. The Betramma found that they had trouble reading the minds of the Pootoom , so would stay clear of them and would never look one in the Eye.

The Ston'apon bodies were organic wood... Able to regrow lost limbs and body parts. They tolerated The Dumbol, but found them annoying  as they had a habit of trying to nest in their hair. 

The Barktoon were kind  and very peaceful but looked Evil .Other Races were afraid of them like the Moxitates. However, The Barktoon were very manipulative and at time could cause trouble between other Races

The Farllon also Blue Skinned has a common Ancestry connection to the Ankar so they believed. The Ankar did not believe this lie. However,  the Head Scientist of the Farllon  had found that DNA of each Race was nearly identical. For this discovery he as executed along with all of his family and his research team, and the results of the research destroyed. 

The Noxetta were renowned builders and inventors. They had aided many of the other Races to develop Space Travel, at a price.  The Noxetta were good business men after all. 

The Zull were a Military Empire  and all trained to be warriors from birth. Warrior Children were raised to be feared by their parents.  A Child was expected to have at least tried to kill one or both of its parents by the time it had started walking. 

The Cambriana were all Clones of their First Leader King  Eg-Narow The First. They All looked the same, and were of Male Linage. This caused problems with other races identifying individual members of this Race.  The Cambriana could tell each other apart by smell.
