Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Ten..... Who is Thaddeus Bach ?

As the Tardis travelled to the location of the next would be member of his team, the Doctor researched more about this mystery man by the name of Thaddeus Bach.

At first The Doctor had no idea who he was until he saw Thaddeus Bach in his costume. He was not just an up holder of the law, but had been part of an Interplanetary Police Force too.

He had many wonderful powers, many of which The Doctor assumed were part of his costume - Uniform, but he could not be certain of this.

These included Flight both on a Planet governed by Gravity and in Space. Increased Strength and stamina. Super Speed. The ability to Fire energy Beams from his hands and his Eyes. The Ability to Make Personal Force Fields...... and he Could turn transparent or completely invisible.

No wonder thought the Doctor, they call him The SPACE GHOST.

Then the Doctor heard a sound coming from outside the main consul room of the Tardis. It sounded like someone was having a fight.......

The Doctor rushed off to investigate.

From the Land of the Endless Knights, we have Sir Leather Wing and his Wife The Lady Bloody Marie

The Count's Nephew and Niece, Prince Wolfgang and Princess Vixen. The only known combination of both Vampire and Werewolf inter breeding.  Both very powerful and dangerous creatures feared and loathed by both Vampires and Werewolf societies.

The Goat King  Blarrh  and Queen Bleeta from the Forgotten Greek Island of  Carprina 

Representing the Silver Hawk People, The Viscount Gnark and his new Wife Talon. Hoping for a good feast of Rodents this year on the Menu.

Doctor Vincent Frankenstein Junior came with two of his latest creation.  Where his father and Grandfather used to reanimate dead bodies, young Vincent  uses metal bodies with live human brains. His first creation Percy  Prometheus hopes one day to marry Shelly, his second creation,in the near future.

Two of the only surviving members of an ancient race of Bat Creatures  called The Darken Death Wing's. Lord Skully and Lady Bonetta are always happy to attend such an advent like this.

The Ice Queen Wendy Flurry and her sister The Fire Queen Sola Flare are here with a few of their Minions. Both have their own way to liven up any party. 

The Dark Lord of the Swamp Vampires, His Majestic Majesty Slither or Slizz to his friends. His Deadly Daughter Vamppie and his Sadistic Son Fangor Fang are kept chained to him, just in case they try to bite any of the guests.... or try to assassinate him. (again) Both siblings want the Crown and the throne of The  Swamp Vampires..... and become the next Dark Lord.

Chopper Axen, the Executioner, Adam Frankenstein, Satan De Vill , Larry The Were-Wolf and Swampy The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2019

The Count invites you to join him in his Halloween Evening of Fun and Frolics.

All the Great Houses of the Worlds of Secrets and Darkness have gathered to help party away the Night.

The Goblin Queen  and her Son Pixie have attended, as has Prince Slither, The Dark Lord of the Swamp Vampires. His Daughter Vamppie and Son Fang are kept chained to him, just in case they try to bite on of the guests. Dr Frankenstein Jnr  has come a to show case his latest Cybernetic Robotic People, this has not gone down well with his Father's original Creation "Adam" who is looking for few replacement parts. The Viscount Gnark of the Silver Hawks People has come to show everyone his latest Wife. The Cyber Spider-People of Mars, Web- Star and his wife Arak-Na are attending for the first time.

The Wolfman has been allowed back this year, on the promise he will not lick any of the living skeletons again. The Invisible man has come with the Twin Daughters of Elvira Queen of the Southern Vamps.  Both Tara and Zara are here to bag themselves a rich husband.

Madame D' eath is here with her new Husband the Baron. No one knows how old the Madame is, but it is believed that she is the oldest living person in the world.  Nerita Ancient Queen of the Nile, and Goddess of Egypt claims she is older, but unlike  the Madame, Nerita died over 2000 years ago, and only the Priests of The Secret Sect of Rama Dama Ding Dong, keep her Mummified corpse "alive".  The Madame keeps healthy by drink a cocktail of Virgins Blood, Gin and the Water from the Fountain of Youth.

The Goat King  Blarrh  and Queen Bleeta arrived early with their cousin  Baccus the  Fawn King. Every one likes him, as he brings the best wine. The Nectar of the God's

The Ice Queen  Wendy Flurry and her sister The Fire Queen Sola Flare have arrived and as usual are arguing about the Temperature of the Castle. The Green Man, Lord Thicket  and his wife The Lady Hedges came after Counts Jester promised NOT to put Weed Killer in the Punch again like last year.

The Corpse's Bride,  Miss Virginia Maiden  and her Fiance,  Mister Tim Waster   are here to celibate not just All Hallows Eve, but to finally  tie the knot after an engagement of nearly 100 years. ... But no one believes that they will ever finally make down the Aisle, as usually one of them gets cold feet at the last minute. However, old Nick aka Satan him self has offered to perform the nuptials this year.  That will be ONE HELL of  a Service if it happens.

The Blue Meanies are here too and have got all of their Three Eyes fixed on their enemies ,  the  Snake People of  Greenland.  Princess Greta  and her Brother Prince Turf of Greenland  have not spoken to Royal Bloo or his sister Princess Sky since last year. A disagreement concerning which Skittles taste the Best.... Blue or Green ?. 

From what I understand, Greta got upset and saw Red and hit Bloo. Turf turned the air Blue with Bad Language, Bloo turned Green after he was strangled by Turf.  Turf was poked by Sky and went White and vomited over Greta , then Greta punched Sky and and everything went Black and she passed out.   The Count has invited Chopper Axen, the Executioner to police the party  this year,  just in case anyone gets out of hand and starts a food flight or  yet another  colourful argument occurs.

Yesterdays heroes once more part Nine The Search continues

Now back inside the Tardis, the Doctor started to review the information of who to recruit next.

Samurai Jack had suggested Hong Kong Phooey, but now seemed to have regretted this.  Both Jack and HKP did have a similar set of fighting skills, but Jack had found meeting the so called " Number One Super Guy" much of a let down..... IF NOT A LITTLE BIT ANNOYING TOO

The Doctor invited Jack to take HKP on a tour of some of the other rooms inside the Tardis. The Doctor hoped that spending time together, they both could start to bond. Plus this would give him time to find the next candidate for his team.

The Doctor made Samurai Jack promise that he would NOT fight with HKP.  The two shook hands and off they went to explore the Tardis.

A Gentleman's Agreement 

The Doctor started looking through the names and information that he had to find another person or persons to add to his crew. He had seen the members of The Grand Masters Team, so knew a little bit about what he needed to battle the persons on Team "Evil"

Then he had an idea. HKP had at first believed that the Doctor was part of the Police Force. The Tardis was did look like a Police Call Box after all. Maybe what he needed was a Law Enforcement Officer on the Team. Someone with training and able to take orders. "That's the Chap" Exclaimed the Doctor looking at the list of names.  Thaddeus Bach would be a good a good addition to the crew.

Setting the controls of the Tardis to the to the correct coordinates, the Doctor pulled the switch and the Tradis' Time Rota at the centre of the control panel started to move up and down.

Who was this mysterious Thaddeus Bach ?, and where would the Doctor find him ?

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Eight... Will The Doctor get his Number One Super Guy or Not ?

The Doctor and Samurai Jack had deduced that Penry Pooch, the mild manner Janitor of the Police Station was in fact the person they were looking for. But for now Hong King Phooey pretended that he had been contacted by Penry to meet with them.

The Doctor was amused by the disguise, but Jack was less amused by the situation. He had agreed to help the Doctor as this meant he could finally return to his own time and this time defeat Aku for good. Wasting time on this charade was futile.

HKP asked the Doctor what he wanted him for. The Doctor explained that a great Evil in the universe was threatening to destroy Earth, and with the Help of HKP the Doctor could stand a better chance in winning.

HKP shock his head, " I have responsibilities here " He said

"What!" cursed Samurai Jack.... " Anyone can Mop a floor " he continued.

"Me Mop Floors !" Laughed HKP.... "You must be mistaking me for someone else !"

Samurai Jack drew his Katana, whilst HKP struck a defensively  strange pose.

"No!" shouted the Doctor trying avoid yet more pointless conflict.

"Look, dear boy" said the Doctor said to HKP... "We know your little secret, and we are willing to keep it if you help us" 

The Doctor knew that he would never divulge Penry Pooch's secret identity.... but did HKP  know this.

"OK !" said HKP, "I will help you, but only because my friend Penry wanted me too" he continued.

The Doctor winkled at Jack, who just rolled his eyes  even more, but did re house his weapon once more.

HKP continued... " Do I need to get out my Phooey Mobil ? " and went on to say " It's a fantastic machine. I can travel on road, on water even in the air !" HKP boasted

"No need, we have our own mode of unique transport " Said the Doctor and  started to lead HKP and Jack down to the empty cell block where he had landed the Tardis.

"I knew it " cried HKP, "You do work for the Police !"

HKP has spotted that over the door of the strange Blue Box was the wording Police Public Call Box

"Not exactly" smiled The Doctor, " But from time to time they have worked with me" he continued.

"Wonderful !" shouted HKP and gave the Doctor an unexpected Hi Five !

The Doctor took out his key, and undid the  Door Lock..... " Please step in " The Doctor said to HKP

HKP pushed opened the door......... "Wow", said HKP.... and continued "its so much bigger on the inside. " "It must take a lot of work to keep clean" he continued giving The Doctor a High Five.

Yes it is, and does  laughed the Doctor as he and Jack followed HKP through the Door.

Within seconds the Tardis had disappeared, just as spot rounded the corner with HKP book of Kung Fu....


Where and who was next on the Doctor's wish list.

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE.... Part Seven The Janitor becomes the Hero

As Penry the Janitor sat on the floor of his office come apartment trying to catch his breath, he knew that very soon the stranger called

The Doctor and his Japanese friend would find him. And would they expose his big secret ?

So he stood up and walked over to the filing cabinet ..........and ....

In the middle of his transformation the cabinet got stuck as usual.... except this time there was no Spot to help him escape.......   but after a quick kick the cabinet drawer opened and out Popped HONG KONG PHOOEY  himself.

Meanwhile... a couple of minutes before hand, The Doctor and Sam had seen Penry running into a room marked Janitor's Office.    

"Now we have him" Said Samurai Jack reaching yet again for his Katana

" Put if away " said the Doctor " We want to recruit him, NOT decapitate Him !

Jack heeded this instruction, and then ............

Out Popped Hong Kong Phooey

"Hi , I'm Hong Kong Phooey !....I hear you have been looking for me ? " said the Number One Super Guy.

The Doctor looked over to Jack and smiled.... whilst Jack let out a deep growl.

Next Time we will find out if The Doctor has made a new friend or new enemy ?

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Six.... Looking for a Hero

The Tardis had now landed in the location of the Next Hero that The Doctor wanted to add to his team. The Grand Master who did not always play fair had downloaded information of how to locate various individuals that would and could be of use to his opponent.  Added to this the Tardis could now travel between dimensions, an ability not available to the machine or the Time Lords in general.

The Doctor knew that the Grand Master liked to play a good game, even if he did not always seem that way.

Opening the Tardis door The Doctor looked out and saw that they had materialised inside a jail cell. From the location detector inside the Tardis The Doctor knew that he was in Los Angeles in the year 1974. This was planet Earth, but one that existed in the ABC Universe.

Seeing that the coast was clear, The Time Lord and his Samurai  friend stepped out.

The Doctor had tried to convince Samurai Jack to leave his trusty Katana inside the Tardis, but Jack refused.

"Just be careful !" Said the Doctor, and continued " You Don't Want to end up cutting anyone with that !"

Jack just frowned.  He was a warrior, a true Samurai.... He went nowhere without his Katana . As he had told The Doctor, his Katana was once owned by the Emperor of Japan. It had been forged by three ancient Gods Odin,  The All-Father of Asgard, Ra, the Egyptian God of the Sun  and Rama, The Hindu Deity and Avatar of The God Vishnu . This weapon had been forged to destroy Aku, and was formed to contain the Emperor's power of Righteousness. The Katana could only be used for good, and could not harm an innocent even if used by an Evil person.... But the Doctor still thought it was too sharp and dangerous to carry around in public.

"Ok" said The Doctor, "lets look down there !" pointing at the exit to the Cell Block.

The Two set set off exploring the Police Station.   The place seemed empty of any Criminals or Police Officers either. Maybe crime was non existent on this Earth thought the Doctor. They had so far only observed two people.
An overweight Sargent  called Flint, and an over excitable lady called Rosemary, who answered the telephones.   Jack had spotted a stripey Cat, and had frightened it away by waving his Katana at it.

Then turning the corner, the two heard the noise of someone humming a tune. Up ahead inside yet another room full of empty Cell they saw ........

The Strange Dog Creature was too engrossed in his cleaning to hear them approach.

"Hello" called The Doctor....  The strange creature froze, and slowly turned around.

As Sam and The Doctor raced forward, the stranger growled and picked up his mop and barked.
" I have a Mop, and I am not afraid to use it !

Jack reached for his Katana, but the Doctor tried to calm the situation.

"I hope we did not startle you Old Boy, but we are looked for someone !"  said the Doctor

"A Hero of Great Power!" snarled Jack

"My name is The Doctor, and this is my colleague Jack "  , " What is your name ? "continued The Time Lord, still trying to stop Jack and the stranger from entering into a battle.

" My name is Penrod Pooch, but people call me Penry. I am the Janitor here "  replied the not so strange, stranger.

"  We are both Pleased to meet you Penry " said the Doctor hoping that Jack would release his grasp on his Katana.

Penry stopped pointing his Mop in an aggressive manor , and Jack placed his Katana back into its scabbard.

The Doctor continued, " From our information, we believe that located inside this building is a person who can help us "

Jack pipped up " So far we have seen a Crazy Woman who talks to herself, an  angry Fat Man and You !"

"So Who is this Super Hero" said the Doctor rubbing  his head. " Sarge ? Rosemary the Telephone  Operator ? or could it be YOU ! "

" WHO ME !" said Penry, " I just a mild mannered Janitor....." as he said it, Penry thrust his Mop into The Doctors hand and ran out of the Cell Block.

"After Him !" shouted The Doctor.

As Jack and The Doctor reached the hallway they saw Penry vanish around the corner.

" There he is, don't let him get away " panted The Doctor.

As Penry knew the layout of the Police Station like the Back of His Paw, it did not take him long to find sanctuary in his own office.

As he entered his office, which was also his  home, he quickly locked the door, and then clasped onto the floor panting.

Penry knew it would not be long before the two strangers found him.... was this the end ? would his secret be reviled ?  What would happen to him ?
