The Coming of the Liberty Legion Part Eleven..... He is a real cool dude Meet Jack Frost

Bucky Barnes and The Patriot had been looking through some of the secret files complied by the FBI on certain people who had recently appeared through out America with extra special abilities and powers.

As the pair looked at the details of these special people Bucky planned to see if he could contact as many as possible, as he though this would be his only way to tackle his own team of Super Heroes that had been brain washed into helping the Red Skull attack the very people and country they were supposed to be protecting.

The next file was that of a unusual person call JACK FROST

This Character was unlike the others already seen.  For a start he did not even look Human as his body appeared to be made up of ICE. Also he did not know who he really was or from where he originated. Even Years later it was uncertain if " Jack Frost " was even Human or a off shoot of a race of God Like Creatures from Norse  Asgardian Myth .... A Frost Giant.

From the information gathered from the Blue Man himself.  All that he knew was that some time in 1941 he awoke somewhere in the Arctic Circle.  He wandered for some weeks until he arrived in Alaska where he met an injured America called Dr Forbes.  Forbes had discovered a large Gold deposit in Alaska but had been shot by a mobster called Mike Zelby who wanted to take the claim as his own.  Forbes dying begged the then unnamed hero to go to New York and protect his daughter Alice who knew about her fathers gold strike and would most likely be in danger from Zelby.

On arriving in NYC Jack Frost asked the local law enforcement department to help bring Zelby to Justice. However, the Law believing Frost was a crazy man all dressed in blue like a circus freak refused. This angered Frost and he lashed out revealing his ice powers.

Jack found out where Alice Forbes was living, and arrived in the nick of time as Zelby had set the apartment block ablaze to kill her. Frost saved Alice, but Zelby died as a result of his own arson. The police force arrived to see that Zelby was dead and blamed Frost for this. They attempted to arrest him, but Jack managed to escape.

Frost vowed that if this was the way man kind wanted to treat him as a criminal and their enemy, he would become an enemy to all of mankind.

Although bitter, soon Jack Frost found he liked Man Kind, and would help out in secret those who had been either oppressed or were being harmed by criminal.  He would still be chased by the Police for the Murder of Zelby, but Jack Frost seemed to enjoy this game of Cat and Mouse. Always keeping one step ahead of them.

The FBI files detailed that they believed in Jack Frost's innocence of the Zelby murder as they had interviewed Alice Forbes who had explained what she remembered, but as Frost refused to come forward he would be branded an outlaw until the full story could be found out and confirmed. He was nicknamed around this time Jack Frost, a name the mystery Blue Man adopted as it understood its meaning, and in a way apt.

Jack Frosts powers appeared to be many fold, but they included the ability to generate Ice and Snow out of the  thin air,  to Turn himself almost transparent, nearly invisible you could say,  make  weapons and tools out of ice, and like the Human Torch who was able to  leech heat away from a fire or a person, Jack Frost appeared to be able to leech cold from objects and people too.

Bucky understood the powers of Jack Frost as it was similar to his friend Jim Hammond aka The Human Torch, but in reverse.

Bucky knew that if he was able to recruit even one of these new super powered individuals he would have a fighting chance to both defeat his brain washed friends and stop the Red Skull too.

With much vigour and conviction Bucky  continued his broadcasts to the nation. Calling for the help of these new mystery men by name.  Hoping they or their friends would hear his call to arms.

Next Time The Legion Assembles for the first Time.

Until Then Enjoy !
