Yesterdays Heroes Once More... Part Seventy Three... The Goal was in Sight

 The Doctor and Phooey had disguised them self as a Bell Boy and a Chef, and along with Jack and Reggie, who where still hiding under the covers of the Food Trolleys  were in one of the hotels service elevators travelling to the 22nd Floor of the Hotel. This was where they hoped to find The Impossibles.

The Elevator was large, and very slow, but eventually they arrived at the 22nd Floor. A loud "PING" announced their arrival  and the Doors slowly opened. They readied themselves as they had no idea who or what may be waiting to meet them. Hotel Security ?, A member of Hotel Staff ?, It could be anyone..... even a Dalek ! . Ok maybe not a Dalek the Doctor thought to himself. 

 

The doors finally finished opening, and no one was there.

The Doctor and Phooey then rolled the two Trolleys out of the elevator and looked around. There was a long corridor and at the other end was another Service Elevator. That must have been the one that went down to the Laundry, the Doctor thought to him self. There was a further 2 Elevators situated opposite each other in the centre of the Corridor smaller outer doors, for the use of guests the Doctor thought. There where only 4 other doors on this Floor, each one containing a Suite of rooms. The Taxi Drivers daughter, Dora had told the Doctor that no one else was staying on this floor other than the Group and tour Manager and his management team.  The Impossibles were sharing The Presidential Suite, whilst The Management and Tour team were using The Ambassador Suite. The Kings Suite and the Emperors suites were empty. These would be empty until after the Group Left. 

Phooey and the Doctor wheeled the trolleys slowly down the corridor being careful not to draw attention to themselves.

 All of a sudden a door in front of them opened. Phooey and the Doctor stopped and waited. They were relieved when they saw it was just one of the Chamber Maids, she was carrying a try. As she walked towards them she smiled and stopped. 

" Hello my name is Peggy " she said. " I am new  here " She continued smiling 

" My name is The Doc......." The Doctor just manage not to say his name in full

" He's called The Doc as the Food he creates is like Medicine  to the Soul " Phooey did his best to cover up any mistake or slip the Doctor had made.

"Please to meet you Doc" Laughed Peggy

" My name is Penry, and I am pleased to meet you too " Phooey said taking a bow.

" I must be going, as the Miss Cathcart  Head of House Keeping does not like me chatting to anyone. See you around " Peggy  said running off down the corridor to where the Staff Elevator was.

" Nice Girl " said The Doctor

" Nice Save, even if I say so my self " Phooey answered with a smile.  Arriving out side the door to the Presidential Suite,  Phooey waited whilst the Doctor located the Hotel pass key in the pocket of his Chef's white.

"Ready ?"  Questioned The Doctor to  Phooey. Phooey nodded.

" You other two also ready ? the Doctor inquired to his colleagues hidden under the trolleys.

Both Jack and Reggie both said " Yes"

Phooey knocked on the Door and shouted " Room Service ! "

A voice from inside called back " Come in ! "

The Doctor turned the Key in the lock.

Yesterdays Heroes Once More...Part Seventy Two..... Meanwhile Back at the Tardis....

 Whilst The Doctor, Jack, Reggie and Phooey were on their mission in San Francisco, the other part of the team had remained inside the Tardis.

Both  Radley and Thaddeus aka  The Blue Falcon and The Space Ghost had been given the task to find out as much as they could about the Cowboy who would at some time later that day would attempt to steal all the takings from the concert at Candlestick Park.

Using the amazing equipment that was afforded them within the Tardis they had made a few discoveries.

The Twins Jan & Jace, the wards of  The Space Ghost had been hard working on disguises for everyone else just in case they needed to leave the Tardis to aid their fellow team mates.

The Wonder Twins, Zan and Jayna were also both busy preparing food so everyone.

Blip, the Monkey had not been seen in a while, but he had curled up on Jan's Bunk in the Crews Quarters.

Radley and Thaddeus' research had turned up some  facts about strange sightings in and around San Francisco in resent months. These involved a real living Dinosaur, A Roman Centurion, A Pirate, and other unknown people and beasts that looked and acted as if they came from another age.  Each time one of these strange anomalies appeared a robbery had taken place. Both Radley and Thaddeus had concluded that this was more than just coincidence.

Using the Tardis' computers they had located a very old Photo of  the Original Outlaw man named John Peters Ringo aka Johnny Ringo dated around 1878 taken when he had been arrested in Arizona Town of  Tombstone. The story was a little confusing, it he appeared to have escaped from a locked Jail Cell. Know one knew how he had escaped, but one day later he was found back in the locked cell. He told the Sheriff that he had been kidnapped by a strange man dressed a Monk with glowing red eyes. He had made him do the Robbery..... Ringo later on said that must have been a dream. 

"Do you think what I am Thinking ?" Radley said to Thaddeus

"I sure do" was the reply.

Meanwhile, Jan & Jace had asked the Wonder Twins to meet them in the Doctor's Wardrobe, as they had perfected a good  disguise for each of them that would help hide their Alien features.

Jayna and Zan, looked forward to seeing what the other set of Twins had come up with. 

Jace escorted Zan into one of the changing rooms, whilst his sister showed Jayna to another. Inside each of the rooms were the clothes that had been choosen for them. Then leaving them to get changed Jan and Jace, left the Wardrobe went to the console room with the computer tablet.

As both The Falcon and Space Ghost would be too busy to come for a proper fitting, the Twins had made scans of scan each of the Men, and used the scans to help find something they could wear just in case they needed to leave the Tardis.

" Sorry to disturb you Guys, but would you like to see what we have picked out for you " said Jan

" Yes, that would nice. We could do with a break. "Said Radley

Jace handed the tablet to his adopted Father.  Thaddeus looked and it and smiled. He then showed it to Radley. He too smiled. 

The Tablet showed them both in full Costume

Then the Picture started to change. Their Cowls were removed

and Finally they were dressed in what the Twins had choosen for them.

" Good Choice, thank you" said Thaddeus

" Very stylish "said Radley.

Then Jace and Jan rushed back to the wardrobe room it see how the Wonder Twins had got on with their disguises. Both of them remembering what they had looked like originally. 

The Wonder Twins were standing in the main room wait for them

"You both look Great" Jan and Jace said in unison.

"I love both of our looks, especially the wigs" said Zan smiling

"I always wanted to be a blond" laughed Jayna

Then all the foursome began to laugh. The Wonder Twins ears were now hidden by blond wigs. Also, Just like they had done for Hong Kong Phooey and his orange fur, they had toned down the Twins pinkish skin tone with a spray make up. 

Back in the Console Room Space Ghost had contacted the Doctor  via Wonder - Mutts radio transmitter that the Doctor had placed in his red collar..

Reggie like Jack were still hiding under the covers of the Food Trolleys when contact was made. Hearing it buzzing, Reggie pulled the gold medallion from his collar  had handed the transmitter to The Doctor to answer.

The Team who was still in the Elevator on slowly making their way up to the top floor. The information about the strange things that had been happening in and around San Francisco  now was starting to make more sense to the Doctor, his suspicions about the blinking light he had seen on the Console was now making things clearer.

 The Doctor agreed 100% this must be the Real Johnny Ringo and therefore would be dangerous. The Doctor  was  confused by this Mystery Man in The Monks Habit with the Glowing Eyes.  Could this be his old enemy The Meddling Monk ? surly not,  the last time he had seen his fellow fellow Time Lord, The Doctor had taken the Directional Control Unit out of the Monks own Tardis. And used it later to defeat the Daleks. Without the unit the Monks Tardis could still move time and space but he would no longer be able to steer it properly anymore. He could have ended up here in this time, but this was a completely different dimension. The Doctors own Tardis could only do this as The Grand Master had allowed it. No it must be someone else The Doctor thought.

Armed with all this information, the Doctor thanked The Falcon and Space Ghost and signed off. Letting go of the transmitter, the cord on it retracted back onto Reggie's collar. 

Next time the Impossible happens..... or does it ?
