Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Fifty ... A Poor Little Rich Boy

 Now it was time for the Blue Falcon to tell his story. The Doctor looked in the direction of the Sandy Blond headed man. Standing up he walked into the centre of the room.

My name is Radley Crowne, my past is a bit confusing if I am truthful. I do not have any fancy pictures to show you but I will try to tell you I I became the Blue Falcon.

Dyno - Mutt held up his paw "I have some pictures, some home Movies" he said.

"ok", said Radley, "you can help me the Dog Wonder" he continued.

"But NO Embarrassing Baby Pictures" he quickly added

"No BF, No Baby Pictures" Laughed Dyno

From out of his head Dyno- Mutt produced  a movie camera which he turned on. Pictures were projected on the wall.  The Doctor stood beside him. He was worried that Dyno may get too over excited and malfunction again. He nodded to Radley, and Radley continued.

 I was the son of Wealthy Parents,  an only child. They were born of wealth but worked hard to use it to the betterment of others. I was very intelligent as a child, so I was told. My Father owned a number of Electrical and Technology companies and encouraged me to learn and build my place in the world. I was home schooled as where we were living was not safe.  I did not mind that, but I did feel lonely having no one to call a real friend. My parents gave me everything I wanted and more, but never enough of their time.  My Father's business interests and my Mother's Charities kept them away from home for weeks at a time sometimes. I mean all of the time. But when they were at home they showered me with so much love.

 Our Butler Jarvis, and our Housekeeper Mrs Penny -Worth did the best they could teaching me things. They were like my real parents.  They gave me so much, including the love I needed. He taut me how to ride my first Bicycle, The Falcon. And she help me repaint it when I fell off and scratched it.  Hilda Penny - Worth was a widow, and she and Mr Jarvis had what she said was a "understanding" that one day they would marry.

We lived in Big City, well in a Mansion just outside. Big City had been a wonderful place in the 1920's but organised crime started to move in and by the 1940's the City was broken. Not as broken as some, I had gone on a trip with my parents once to Gotham City to visit a friend of his Dr Thomas Wayne. His wife Martha and my Mother were old school friends . They had a son, Bruce who I kinda liked. He was a happy boy.  If I remember he became very  withdrawn after his parents had died. I think it was a robbery, I overheard my parents discussing it once.  Big City was as many said "A Dump", but that place, Gotham City was even worse.... It looked like Hell. It was Hell. 

My Parents tried their best with financial support and charity donations to help improve matters in our City. This worked for a time but the crime rate kept going up. They refused to move away from Big City like a lot of their rich friends. My Father even stood for Mayor and my Mother became an independent Governor. They both spoke out about crime and corruption. They did some good, and they had the support of many who lived in Big City. But this upset some of  Gangs, and eventually got them murdered by the time I was 21. All I had left was Jarvis, Hilda Penny-Worth and Billions in the Bank.  

"What about me ?" said a voice.... it was Dyno-Mutt

"Sorry Wonder Dog, I had you too. You had been my birthday present when I was 13. Yes my Mother thought I needed a friend. I had the previous year tried to build a Robotic Pet, but had given up as artificial intelligence matrix I had built kept failing. I had named the  project  Mental Upload Technical Test.... or MUTT for short. So I gave up on Project Mutt, and turned by attention to Project Reggie instead. And he became  my Best Friend, maybe the only real Friend I ever had" The Blue Falcon replied. Although Reggie was just a regular Mutt and could not talk until later, I found I could talk to him about anything and he would listen. He was my Best Friend indeed.

RADLEY & REGGIE 

With my Parents now dead , I need something to keep me busy. I still liked to invent things. I did think about going to University , but I could not find a collage or course that would teach me what I wanted to know. One of my Fathers business partners Dr Benton Quest offered to buy most of the Tech Business I had inherited, which I agreed to as again I did not want to run those companies. I agreed to let him have the patents on some of my projects also.  He already had part ownership of a few anyway. Running those  companies was my Father's life , I wanted to find my own way. 

A year before by parents died, my Father had arranged to get me a summer job working at the Quest Lab in California. That was where Dr Quest had based himself at the time. I liked the idea of working along side him, but insisted I would only go if I could take my Mutt Reggie.  Dr Quest agreed as he thought that this may be a distraction for his young Son Jonny. Dr Quest's wife had recently died and he was finding balancing his work and looking after his son hard to do. 

I enjoyed this time, and Dr Quest and I collaborated on many projects. He had come up with an idea or creating a robotic or cybernetic Brain.  This was in part he felt guilty that he was unable to save his wife who had died from Neurological Problems. That was when I decided to look again at  Project MUTT. Dr Quest liked some of my work, but thought I needed a test subject to work with. I was not comfortable testing on animals, but he explained that testing did not need to be destructive or hurt the test subject.

 By the end of that Summer we had successfully built an Artificial  Intelligence Matrix that worked.  We proved you could transfer or down load thought patterns from organic subjects to an artificial brain. It was not very intelligent, it had a very low IQ rate but it worked. Thanks to our two test subjects. A five Year Old Boy and 3 Year Old Dog.   Dr Quest asked if he could continue working on the project as he had a few ideas of combining it with a few of his own. I agreed.

Around this time Jarvis and his wife Hilda,  he  had finally married our Housekeeper a few years before, they told me that they wanted to retire.  But they were worried that I would be all alone in the big mansion. I told them that I would not be alone, as with them retiring I could move to Big City, start living around people.  They were worried that Big City was now a very dangerous place, but I told them maybe I needed a little danger in my life.

I arranged to have The Mansion shut down, some of the other staff like the gardeners, and maintenance people etc who still lived on the Estate I arrange to keep on to take care of the Place. With the Monies I had received from the sale to Benton Quest I purchased an old rundown building in the Centre of Big City, and had it refurbished. On top of the building a had luxurious penthouse built with its own helipad and hanger. The building had once been originally built as the Head Office of a Bank before the Crash in 1929. I It had 70 floors. and three sub levels which had been  used as vaults etc. One had been turn into a Nuclear Bomb Shelter in the 1950's The top Floor was mine, and the 3 Sub levels, and a large private garage that had been used originally when the Bank took deliveries of Bullion and Cash.The other floors I would decide to use or rent out later. 

Part of the buildings redesign was I had a two extra elevators put in.  These would be private for my use only. One would go straight up to the Pent House, and the other would lead from the Pent house down to the basement levels . I had not given up inventing and thought the basement would be the perfect place to us a personal laboratory. And I arranged to have a couple of cars brought over and had them stored in the Basement Parking Garage at the building. One of which was my Mothers Little Tank. 

Jarvis and Hilda retired to Florida, I had given them the keys to one of my Parents Summer Houses. It was small, ok only 20 bedrooms, its own Polo field and 2 Swimming Pools....   It was not the Mansion but had brilliant views out across the Ocean. All the bills would be paid by me. I wanted them to be happy. I had a whole floor of my Apartment Building remodeled and decorated just for them in case they wanted to visit Big City in the future.  I had the Building renamed Crowne Tower and moved in.This project had only taken a year. 

I had decided I did not need any full time staff, but I at times I had some of the staff come in from the Mansion when I needed help etc. Parker and Penelope  would come over every two weeks to visit. Whilst he and I did maintenance  of my cars down in the basement, she would cook us a meal in my Penthouse. I enjoyed seeing them as I did miss them both.. 

Life was good. I was inventing again, I enjoyed walking my Dog Reggie in the Park across the road. I started visiting museums and art galleries in the City. I even tried dating. But being one of the riches people in the Country did make you a target for money grabbing  ladies.  I was 23 but I had not found something to really do, that would interest me. I toyed with improving the body Armour of the Big City PD, as too many of their officers each year got injured by gun fire.  One of few company I retained dealt with making a near impregnable fabric that was virtually indestructible. But so costly that its production would never allow it to make a commercial venture. I had some samples made up. The design was ok, but the cost was far too much to produce for all officers. It was a shame as I believed they could have worked. 

This would all change very soon.  One evening  later that Fall our old Chauffeur and his wife were coming over from the Mansion to see me.  I  had invited them to come with me to see the opening a New Stage Show at Big City's Opera House.  They were on the way to meet me at Crowne Tower and then we would travel on to the Opera House. I said it would be nice to arrive in style, so I had asked him to bring the Vintage Rolls Royce from the Garages at the Mansion. I put on my best Tuxedo and waited for them to arrive. The Weather had been very mild, and the trees in the park were still in fall leaf. It was a pleasant evening, although I had heard that a storm may be on its way later that night. 

 Next to Jarvis and his wife Hilda, Parker and Penny were like family. She was our Cook, a larger than life Lady, always laughing and singing. She had trained to be an Opera Singer, but had met Parker fell in love and given up on her passion to be with him. Parker had been my parents chauffeur for years. He had I was told a bit of a shady past, but he was very loyal to them. I had asked Penny to sing at my parents funeral. At first she refused, but I reminded her that my Mother always loved to hear her sing. She did, and it was very fine.

 Parker had even taut me to drive around the grounds of the  Mansions . I was just 5 when he sat me on his lap and helped me steer the car around the grounds.  My Father had many cars, my favorite was a 1965 Chrysler Imperial. It was Big and Blue with Ox Blood Red leather Seats, and that its the car I learnt to drive in.

First Driving Lesson

 It was built like a Tank My father had had it custom built as a Birthday present for my Mother. She preferred one of the smaller sports cars they owned as she liked to drive herself when possible. She used to call it her little Tank. It had been built with lots of safety features. Parker told me that it was Bomb Proof, and always kidded me that we should find out if it was true one day. Parker used to point out that the hood ornament had been specially designed with a Small Golden Crown. I loved driving Mom's Little Tank. Parker even let me wear his special driving gloves when I was driving it., They were brown leather with his initials on them.  He had been given them by his wife Penny when he had been appointed head Chauffeur by my Father years before.  It was not long before I was playing at Chauffeuring him around.

Soon Parker was sitting in the Back, whilst Reggie became my co driver.

I would later learn that Aloysius  Parker and his wife  Penelope were running late due to traffic in town, he thought he  would take a short cut though Big City Memorial  Park.  This turned out to be a costly error.

They had not arrived at the time we had agreed I had decided to go down and wait on the street. After another ten minutes I rang the gate house at the Mansion  from the phone on the Tower's Reception Desk. I was then to be  told that The Parker's had left over an hour and a half earlier. Going back onto the street I saw a Two Ambulances rush by with their  sirens whaling.  They both entered the Park Gates over the road from the Tower. 

Being interested in what had happened I ran across the road and into the Park. I  saw number of Police Cars had stopped half way along Central Park Drive. The Blue lights reflecting in the large lake that ran along side it. Running up to the lake I could see that there appeared to be two bodies laying beside the Road. Both had been covered up. I Assumed that they were dead. I walked forward and a Police Officer asked me to step back as this was a murder scene.  I then recognized the Police Chief who I had any seen a few days before when I was invited to and had sponsored a Big City PD Fund Raiser. I called over to Chief Ramsey, who walked over to me.

" Good Evening  Mr Crowne" he said," Its a Car Jacking I think . Two Elderly People. No sign of the car, but I think it was expensive" . As we found this clutched in the Lady's  hand"  Chief Ramsey held up a plastic evidence bag. Inside I could see it was a cars figure head, It was covered in Blood.

" That's Elinor or The Spirit of  Ecstasy, its from a Rolls Royce" I told him

" One of them British Cars ? " Ramsey said scratching  his head 

I nodded, than noticed this Figure was knelling, and not standing. An unusual version of the famous mascot, the same version  was on  my  own Classic Rolls Royce. The colour drained from my face. I asked if I could see the bodies as I thought that I knew who they were. Ramsey told me that he should not, but as they had not found any id this may help. Before I saw the mans body I knew it was Parker. A hand was poking out of the covering.  He always wore his special Brown Driving Gloves when he used to Drive my Parents around in the Rolls or Roller as he called it.  

Pulling back the cover I confirmed it was Aloysius Parker, my Chauffeur. The woman must be his Wife Penelope. They showed me her face, she looked asleep. It was Penny. It was the only time I had seen her not smiling. 

I turned and walked away. " You Ok, Mr Crowne ?"  said Ramsey walking up to me. I shock my head and explained that they were coming to meet me. This was my fault as I had asked them to bring the Car. The Car that was now missing. I gave Ramsey the description and Licence Plate details. And excused myself and went back to Crowne Tower. 

"Its Not Your Fault Mr Crowne"  Ramsey called out behind me.

But I knew it was.

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE part Forty Nine..... The Phantom Twins Jace & Jan's Tale

 Although the Twins Jace & Jan were not officially part of the Doctors team, they were members of the Group. 

The Doctor had originally wanted them to return to their home base on Salomon's Planet, but the attack on the Phantom Cruiser by the Black Widow had left it not able to be piloted. So the Doctor had allowed them to travel in the Tardis for safety.

Although the teens were now just over 17,  and had been part of Space Ghost's crew for many years, the Doctor believed that could be in great danger in his dealings with the Grand Master and what ever group of Villains he had brought together to battle his team.

The twins were very useful Team Members he though. And he had already thought of a few rolls that they could perform around the Tardis. The years they had lived with Space Ghost and the time they had spent with Salomon  both of them had picked up many talents. The fact that they helped re build Dyno - Mutt after he had exploded showed they had their uses. They had first hand knowledge of the Tardis, and could aid new members of the Team with any questions. 

The Doctor invited the Twin's to tell their story, and how they ended up with Space Ghost.

The Twins stood up Jace was the first to speak.

He told them that their names were Jayson and Janette, but both preferred to be call Jace & Jan. He was the eldest, he thought, but really did not know.  Most of their personal history before Space Ghost rescued them was a mystery.

They had been  living on the Planet Toth , a planet on the outskirts of the Union. Mainly inhabited by Miners, and people trying to make it big. The Planet was a good source of Killawok, an energy releasing Crystal that was worth large numbers of credits if found.   The Zorathians, a race of Large War Like Insect Creatures tried to invade. The Twins believed that their Parents where both killed in the first wave assort. They were about 5 years old at the time, and they had been saved by Space Ghost who called himself the Ghost at the time.  They had been living in a half destroyed transport station, and near to death from starvation, when they had been rounded up by some Zorathian Drones, who looked like they were hungry for Flesh.  

A quick blast from The Ghost Gauntlets sent them running. But he knew they would return with support and weapons.

 The Ghost's space craft that was near by to keep, and he decided it was the best place to keep the Twins safe. The Ship that was built by Salomon was not as sophisticated  as it was today. But it did have something good defenses. A Force Shield second to none, and the ability to go into a Stealth Mode. Making it invisible and undetectable.

Taken the us onboard The Ghost showed us around the Ship. Then he taut us how to activate the Shields and  put the ship into Stealth Mode. There was food enough for a week, and if he did not return in 5 days, the Ship would take off on Auto Pilot and return to his base, where his friend would care for us, explained Jace.

We begged him not to leave us, but The Ghost said that there were others that needed saving too. He told us we were lucky, we still had each other. Then he smiled.  After The Ghost exited the ship we activated the shields and placed the ship in Stealth Mode, Jan added.

The Zorathians were lead by Zorak. These were a vicious race that traveled from planet to planet stripping it of all useful materials, like food, precious metals and Technology.  Their appearance could be liken to a cross between a Mantis and a Lizard. They were basically insects that could adapt to what ever situation they were in or environment. They came in different types, or castes that had been bred for different purposes. War Drones were the largest and could have up to eight limbs.

Seeing this picture made Jayna turn away, as she found it frighting. Zan held her hand to comfort her.  

The Twins continued on with the story, taking turns explaining things. The Zorathian leader Zorak only had six, two legs, a set of reptilian arms with hands and a set of two arms that looked similar to those of a preying mantis. These covered in sharp points and were used to slash at their victims. He was known to wear Yellow so his forces could identify him.

"Yellow Gloves and Boots" Laughed  Phooey

Sniggering was heard from from the other end of the table too.... It was Dyno - Mutt

"No interruptions" Snapped the Doctor. 

Then Jan took over from her Brother, she continued.....They could eat any thing edible, vegetation and organic. They now had a taste for Human Flesh so were considered very dangerous by all organic life.They originated in a area of space  what was called the Black Nebula, which was outside the Union of Planets, and very rarely ventured out. The Nebula was surrounded by many Union and Elite Battle Craft to ensure that the Zorathians remained outside the Union of Planets. However, a massive invasion fleet had overwhelmed the Union defenses and the Zorathians broken through and had started attacking the nearest Planets. This included Toth. 

Jan went on.....  after the Zorathians had been finally repelled from the Toth after 4 days, with the help of the Elite Forces, but none of the Wraith Officers Space Ghost had noted.  Then Space Ghost tied to find out if the authorities had any idea if the twins had any relatives still alive on the Planet. However, all records had been destroyed when the Capital City had been attacked. As there was now millions of people displaced on Toth and without any where to live, The Ghost had decided to take the twins  back to Salomon's Planet where they could be cared for. 

The Zorathian Invasion  was still far from over, but The Ghost knew that the defenses Salomon had put in place around where he dwelling was should and would provide protection for them. It was far from perfect, but leaving them on Toth was not an option. He had admitted that Jan reminded him of his late wife, and something about Jace reminded him of Salomon. The Twins were both Witty, and maybe Salomon needed some one to look after again. 

He took them to Salomon's Planet, and his old friend agreed to tend to their needs.  The Twin's called Salomon "Uncle Sal"  and would refer to  The Ghost as Daddy Thad. Although The Ghost considered Thaddeus Bach dead, deep down inside he enjoyed this being called Daddy Thad. Out of tragic circumstances a family had been born. 

" He looked a little bit frighting first " Said Jace

"But not as frighting as The  Zorak and his People , But Salomon was kind " Added Jan

Jace then took up the story one again. As The Ghost would spend weeks away on his missions to destroy the Wraith and push back the Zorathian invaders, it was left for "Uncle Sal" to do most of the educating. Uncle Sal was an excellent inventor, and builder and he start to teach these skills to them both.  Jace made a joke that they may not know their surname, but they knew how to build a radio transmitter at the age of 6. By 7 they had built their own flight packs and anti gravity belts.

When the Ghost would go away on a mission, Jan would always ask him to bring them back a present. This could be tech or new clothing something they could use.  But one day he brought back a tiny little monkey he had rescued from poachers. He like them were orphans. He needed some one to look after him, as Salomon had done for them. Doing that Twin Thing as Daddy Thad always said, when both came up with the same idea at the same time, they both said the world BLIP.  And that is how Blip got named.

Blip had been listening to the Twins telling their story , and watching Space Ghost flash pictures from his Gauntlets to help explain the story. On hearing his name, jumped up and down squeaking.  When he saw his picture.... he start to whoop. The Doctor put his hand on his head to settle him. 

Jan contained, it was always a tradition that if Daddy Thad brought them a present they would give him something they had made for him. This was when The Ghost got a new Uniform. Salomon had helped improve the Tech, but the Twins had designed it. They had given him a logo, and thought that the name The Ghost, did not fit his character. So they came up with Space Ghost instead.The new uniform was accepted, and the name too.  The Black  and Gold Cape was now just Yellow, it looked good he thought. 

It took time but after the  Zorathian invasion had been  completely quashed and their leader Zorak deposed,  a rumor that a Planet within the Union would be given to the Zorathian Race as a Peace Gift was common knowledge. It seemed that the main reason for the invasion was that the Black Nebula could no longer sustain life, and the Zorathian's were near extinction.  Zorak was too stupid to ask the Mammals, as he called the  Peoples of  the Union, for help. Why ask when you could just take. 

 This New Home  would allow the Zorathian Race to hopefully join the Union of Planets, due to an incident that had happened, the Planet and a large number of the   Zorathian Race who had settled there, had been killed.  

The Planet was Toth. the Planet that Jace & Jan had originated from. Space Ghost wanted to investigate and made plans to go back to Toth. He agreed to take Jace & Jan with him, as it would be a chance to see if they could find any evidence of there past lives there. What they discovered that the Planet was now void of any life. Every building had been demolished or torn down. Hacking into Central Records at Elite HQ, Jace had discovered, that all the  People had been moved off of the Planet by the orders of The Head of the Elite..... Temple.  Temple had then made arrangements to gift the planet to the Zorathians.  Their New Leader Zorra had accepted and a large part of the Zorathian Race had relocated there. There had been an explosion. The Killawok Crystals had amplified the Blast it seems. Was this an accident or had it been planned.

 From the radiation readings Space Ghost assumed that a Nuclear Bomb or Bombs had been detonated. He did not know if it was a mistake or on purpose. The last chance of finding any information about the Twins had now faded completely.

Returning to Salomon's Planet he help his friend to improve their defenses, even helping to build a Cloaking Device so that if the Planet was visited no one would know anyone lived there.

That's our story said Jan, and after Space Ghost brought Temple to trial, we were again allowed to accompany him on missions. That is how we met The Doctor, The Blue Falcon, and some marvelous people. And had some amazing adventures too added Jace.

They both bowed and thanked Daddy Thad for providing the picture show. 

The Jace said they had forgotten to say what they brought to the group. They  both said in unison "ideas, inventions, friendship and Blip"  They laughed as Blip jump over the table and joined them.

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Forty Eight ..... The Space Ghost is Born

 Space Ghost continued his tale. Temple and the Wraith had left Bach to die on the Ghost Planet and had headed back to the Central offices of The Elite on the Planet Mintory Prime. Temple had unfinished business with The Commander  Zuis Vetor, the Head of The Elite. 

 The Ghost Planet was not a deserted as everyone believed it seemed. An  tall alien had made the planet his home. He had found Thaddeus dying, and had taken him back to a near by cavern that served  as his home. 

Although the Alien lived in a Cave, it contained a lot of amazing equipment. He used some of it to help heal Bach.  At first the Alien was unable to communicate with Bach, and due to his injuries Bach was unable to speak either. When Bach was able to sit up in bed he gestured that he wanted his Uniform. The Uniform has in a mess, all of the defensive Tech had been stripped away by the Wraith. But included and built into the protective mesh was a device able to translate any Alien tongue. However, this has been smashed beyond repair.  Some of the tech in what was left of his  Uniform was damaged, and Bach thought he may be able to salvage some. But for now Bach had no way of translating the words that the tall Alien was saying. 

However, the Alien seemed very interested in the damaged communicator. He pointed to it and Bach and patted his chest. So Bach  handed to the tall Alien. Who smiled. And thumped his chest again. The he got up and poured a bowl of soup that he had been cooking on the open fire. The soup was interesting, Bach had tasted better, but at least this was food. And After eating Bach fell asleep.

 The following morning  Bach food the communicator beside him on the bed. It had been repaired. The Alien introduced himself as Salomon.  Bach was intrigued to how Salomon had managed to fix it so quickly.

Asking Salomon this, Salomon replied " Me Build, Me a Maker !" and patted his chest and smiled.

Over the next few weeks Salomon helped heal Thaddeus.  They become friends and both started sharing information about one another.   Salomon was quite the inventor it seemed. He repaired what was left of Bach's uniform, and told him that parts of its design were his. He knew that off worlder's had visited this planet, and some of them had stolen many artifacts and Tech.  It transpired that Salomon had caused the destruction on this so called Ghost Planet himself.  He had built terrible weapons. 

He had build weapons to help finish a War that had broken out,  thousands of years before. Weapons he did not think anyone would use, but the threat of using them would he believed bring peace. This was not the case. Both sides had obtained these weapons, and used them.  The result was total destruction of the planets Eco system and all life. Salomon had survived that conflict. Learning that his weapons were about to be  used he hid as he said a  coward onboard a specially built spacecraft of his own  design. He had ended the war, but the price was his weapons had completely obliterated all forms of life on his planet. Only he remained alive. He had been alone for over 500 years. He said his race was called The Rebba, and they had a long life span. He had spend the early years searching the planet for any other survivors. He had never found any evidence. Most of the large cities had since crumbled to dust, as most had been made of organic matterials. He had found DNA samples of animals that had once lived, and he had been successful in re introducing a few of the smaller insects back on the planet. These insects were the only source of food. Now Bach knew why the Soup they ate daily had an unusual taste. 

In shame and guilt Salomon had decided to remain on the planet as punishment. .He knew that some of his technology had survived the war. He had collected what he could and destroyed it. Things that he could not  destroy he had stored them in his Space Craft. However,  some of his tech had been taken by visitors to the planet over the years. Looters and scavengers who looked a these types of planet as a source finding wealth or weaponry. .   When Salomon found  Thaddeus close to death  he thought he could redeem himself in part by healing some one in need. 

Salomon had technology that allowed him to search for information about Thaddeus. He knew about other World and about the Union of Planets. And he knew about the Wraith. He learnt that Temple had changed his mind about framing him for murder, as this could have looked bad on the Elite and may end up exposing  the Wraith and his connection to it.  Instead it was announced that Officer Bach had been killed in the line of duty along with his wife.  So the Universe believed he was now dead. So no one would be looking for him. Especially not on this Ghost Planet. Salomon  informed Thaddeus about this. And  that Temple had taken the position of the Official Head Commander of The Elite after Zuis Vetor had been killed in an accident it had been reported. Bach knew that it was the work of Temple. Temple was now the most powerful person in the Union of Planets. 

Thaddeus said whilst Salomon wanted forgiveness after causing the destruct on his planet , all  that he wanted himself was revenge on Temple and those of the Wraith who serviced him.  Salomon begged Thaddeus not to go down such a dark path as he was a good person. " Bad things sometimes happen to good people" he told Bach. Thaddeus rejected this advice and went to the ship that Salomon had mentioned where he found that it is still in working order.

Bach started to up grade his Wraith Uniform, putting on articles  he found about the ship. Finding weapons that he could use. Some of the weapons appeared very like those the Wraith used. This made sense, as at some time Temple must had found or obtained them on a previous visit. He found a Hooded cape that Bach knew would give him the look he wanted. Then dressed in his new attire, the Black Hooded man announced that Thaddeus Bach was now truly dead, only The Ghost lived. 

He looked like an executioner. 

Salomon tried  warning  The Ghost that revenge could destroy him.... but this advice was again dismissed. Solomon  knew he could prevent the Ghost from leaving, but realizes that The Ghost needed to leave if he was ever going to heal.  He wishes his friend well, and says that he would be here if The Ghost needed him. The Ghost thanks Salomon and feels happier that he departs on good terms. Salomon gives the Ghost a device that he places in The Ghost's Wrist Gantlets.. Thus The Ghost can now deactivate any of the Wraith Uniform Tech that may be based on his deigns with a non lethal blast. Salomon says if The Ghost could bring him a Wraith Uniform, he would see if he could not at a later date upgrade The Ghost's Gauntlets to tackle an other Tech that may have been included in the Uniforms. The Ghost agrees. 

Over the next few months The Ghost did all in his power to destroy the Wraith, all of which he found are as corrupt as their leader Temple.  He learnt  that the majority of Eidolon Elite were trustworthy so he helps ensure they are protected. Many of the Judges were also found to be corrupt, and the Ghost dealt with them also. From time to time he would return to Solomon's Ghost Planet where he would return some of the stolen tech he had collected in his crusade to destroy the Wraith.  The Ghost also provided samples He provided Salomon with a Wraith Uniform, and upgraded The Ghost's Gauntlets as promised.  On one visit he asks Salomon to care for two orphaned survivors that he had rescued after a failed invasion of their planet. Salomon agrees, and says he is happy to do this. The Ghost had provided Salomon with samples of Seeds that he hoped may help to re start the Ecco System on the planet. Also a food replication device that he had liberated from a Wraith Battle Cruiser. No more soup he told his friends. 

The Ghost, was now renamed Space Ghost after a child's fable of an invisible figure who helped fight to protect the innocent. He had adapted his costume to appear more friendlier to innocents that saw him.

 Space Ghost finally triumphed by destroying the Wraith and their stolen tech that had been used in such a corrupted way.  Thus allowing the Eidolon Elite to take back their rightful control of maintaining justice in the Universe. The Ghost even managed to bring Temple to book, but realizes that if he kills him, he would not be any better than Temple himself. This would do nothing to restore the lives of his wife or unborn child..... he had lost them. He could not risk losing his own soul as well. Space Ghost was now seen by many as a beacon of Righteousness and Hope.... and he had a purpose and a future back on Solomon's Ghost Planet. It had taken many years, but the Temple's reign was now over. 

Temple was turned over to Eidolon Elite who took him to trial where he is found guilty of many crimes. Proof is produced that Temple had been the Ghost Killer. who had killed many over the years including Zuis Volor, Elua's Father The Judge and Dr Voter. It was proved that he had used his forces to go to many of the Ghost Planets looking for tech to either use or sell. Most of the  Gun Runners worked for him and those who did not he disposed of.   

The final damming  evidence provided proved that Temple had secretly assisting the Alien Race called Zorathians, a race of Large War Like Insects, in their failed invasion of the Union of Planets . They wanted the resources of the Union of Planets, and  if this meant the destruction of  all who stood in their way, so be it. . They had  planned to invade every planet in the Universe.  And Temple was willing to assist with defense codes and such to help them..... at a price. He had also offered them Wraith Tech, and some he had obtained from other Ghost Planets that even he was frighten from using.  Temple appeared quiet mad to have done this. Also Space Ghost had discovered that Temple was responsible for the nearly whipping out the whole of the Zorathian Race after the Invasion, to cover up his connection with their leader Zorak after the invasion failed.  

Space Ghost had played a big part in stopping the invasion, but many had died in the conflict.. After he is found guilty Temple was sentenced to life in prison The Space Ghost asked to speak to Temple in private before he is imprisoned . The Judges agree, and this is when Space Ghost relieved  that his was once called Thaddeus Bach. Space Ghost removed his cowl and Temple knew that this was his former friend who had become his greatest enemy.  Temple was so shocked that he had destroyed his own life's work by not killing Bach when he should have. The shock resulted in Temple suffering  a total mental breakdown and is later  imprisoned in a mental asylum for the rest of his life. Here he tells every one that will listen  " That he was The Ghost Killer, but You can never kill a Ghost !" They all think he is mad. 

Salomon  would later be reunited with Space Ghost, and was relieved to hear Space Ghost  did not go down the path of darkness. Salomon then decided  to help Space Ghost in his new mission to bring peace and harmony to the Universe.  Track down any tech  or weaponry that had been stolen. He achieves this by using his skills as a builder to improve on Space Ghost's Uniform. Giving it new abilities that made him more  powerful with out being deadly. A refit  was made to Salomon's space ship and it was re christened the Phantom Cruiser. 

The Space Ghost continues to this day to  restore the Union of Planets and the  Eidolon Elite to where it had been before Temple had taken control.

" That is Thaddeus Bach's and Space Ghosts' story" Space Ghost concluded.

The Blue Falcon raised a hand

The Doctor acknowledged and allowed The Blue Falcon to speak.

"So who are You  ?" Asked The Falcon. "Thaddeus or Space Ghost ?" he questioned 

"Both, Neither, its completed" Said Space Ghost shaking  his head. 

"Am I Thaddeus Bach, Husband, Father and Law Enforcement Officer ?. No he died the day his Family were taken from him" Space Ghost said

Adding " Am I The Space Ghost ? The person that gives hope to others ? Fights to right the wrongs on others behalf ? Watches over you ?, Helps ? . In part YES, but The Space Ghost is a fantasy, he is not a person. He is not even a man anymore. He is an entity, He is Hope " Said Space Ghost.

"No Space Ghost is also force for good" Said Jace

"Not just that, he is our Father too" said Jen  With that both of the Twins got up and hugged Space Ghost.

" I think I am going to cry" Said Dyno - Mutt

" Don't do that Dog Wonder, you may start to go rusty "  announced  The Falcon.

Everyone started to laugh. The tension caused by The Space Ghost's sad tale was lifted.

" Now settle down" Said the Doctor blowing his nose into his Red Hanky

The Doctor then continued " Thaddeus Bach maybe dead, but Thaddeus the Space Ghost is still alive and is my good friend " he then reached over and shock Space Ghost by his hand.

Then after composing himself the Space Ghost explained what powers and abilities he had.

These were many. His Wrist bands designed and improved on by Salomon could emit different types of energy waves. 

They can stun, they could freeze, they heat thing, they could produce powerful force fields. All of the settings were set to non lethal if used against a living object or thing.  

His Suit could Turn himself and anyone around them invisible. He could even make his body out of Phase, and walk through objects if he wished. He could Fly, the suit gave him increased strength. He could survive in Space. He said he had many abilities to offer, but his loyalty was the most important thing that he offered to The Doctor and the rest of the team.

The Space Ghost took a bow, and sat down.

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Forty Seven .... Who Was Thaddeus Bach ?

 

Space Ghost stood up. Then he started speaking. " My name is Thaddeus Bach, or was as the Universe believes Thaddeus now is dead. Thaddeus  He held up one of his arms and used one his arm bands to show pictures as he told his story. 

The Young Elite Officer Bach

Bach was a Peacekeeper, part of an intergalactic law enforcement Agency  called the Eidolon Elite. Our Galaxy consisted of a Union of many planets. Many different races made up the Union, many originally came from Home Planets that did not exist anymore. Earth in my time had been abandoned due to the it not being able to sustain life anymore. This due  to  thousands of years of over development and striping away all useful resources. All that was left was a dead world,  a Toxic Death Planet. We had a name for this type of worlds, A Ghost Planet. There were many in the Universe, most of which had been destroyed by war or like the Earth , greed and bad practices and management..

Although he, Thaddeus had never lived on Earth, his ancestors originated there.  The knowing that their plant was doomed the People of Earth had ventured out into the cosmos to find new worlds and build new civilizations. This is where they met others. some very much like themselves and many very Alien, but in time these different worlds and cultures united. The Eidolon Elite were the Police and Law enforcers of the Union. Made up from most of the different peoples and races. Everyone was equal or that is what we believed.  Being a Peacekeeper was a good job and Thaddeus Bach enjoyed it.  Others saw how good he was also. One of these was Head Commander of The Elite,  Zuis Vetor. Soon Vetor  had Bach co - oped into another part of another part of the organisation who were called the Wraith.

The Wraith Uniforms gave the wearer incredible abilities including Invisibility, Flight and enhanced strength. However, Bach had noted that Temple's uniform looked like it contained extra technology, or was it only a difference in the design ? 

The Wraith were a part The Elite  that most people never heard of. They acted completely in Secret and left little trace if any of their existence. Most of the Eidolon Elite had not heard of them.  They had advanced technology that allowed them to act as "Phantoms" or "Ghosts". This meant even if seen by a person, the Tech they contained made them void from being recorded by video or any type of surveillance equipment.  They were still Elite Officers,  and still answered to Vetor, but did they? They  took on missions of high importance. Missions that could and sometimes did end in the death of the Officer.  They had special attire  as well that they hid under their conventional Elite Guards Uniforms. This Wraith attire was not just for show, it contained special technology that gave the wearer special abilities.  Their number was small, about 40 officers. Manly due to the Tech needed to produce their special abilities was limited and hard to produce. The Wraith had originally been the idea of an Elite Officer Temple a few years before. The same Captain Temple who Bach had come to know.

Then as he continued on  it began to be clear that to everyone listening that this man standing before them considered  Thaddeus Bach and Space Ghost as separate entities.

Space Ghost continued his story. Thaddeus knew the being an Elite was not without danger, but now as a Wraith it had now become more so.  His wife did not like him risking his life all the time. His wife was called Elua. She had been the daughter of  one the High Judges who's job was to sentence Criminal once they had been arrested by the Elite. However, her father Judge Jenda had been assassinated a few months previous  by what had been described as an Invisible Ghost. This Ghost Killer, as it was called, struck from time to time.... or so people believed.  Captain Temple was put in charge of investigating all the cases, but he said he found no connections or evidence to say that a Ghost Killer really existed or the deaths were even connected. He had volunteered for the job it turned out.  Temple was a friend of Bach, and had been a mentor to him when he first joined the Elite. Temple was part of the Wraith, and had inducted Bach into the secret order himself after discussing the matter with the  Head Commander Zuis Vetor. Now Temple could mentor Bach in his new roll as a Wraith.

When the chief scientist of the Elite , Dr Ulter,  was also  killed under mysterious circumstances Bach wondered if it had been someone with Wraith technology that had committed this and other crimes.  He mentioned this in private to his friend Temple, who just laughed it off. Saying No Wraith would do this, and none of their Tech had ever been mislaid or could ever be copied. Dr Ulter it appeared had built and designed most of the Wraith Tech himself. Again Bach was not convinced of this. Many of the pieces of tech that his own suit contained looked like it had been designed by different people. Part of a Wraith's duty was to maintain his own equipment, so Bach had studied its design very well.  

When she found out she was expected their first child, Elua begged  Thaddeus to quit the Wraith.   She told him that she did not trust Temple. She said she  had discovered evidence of this.  Her Father had written information about the many  Ghost Killings in one of his journal.  And the last thing  he had written before he was killed was.... "T  SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED". She believed T was Temple. Thaddeus dismissed this, as he believed his friend Temple was good. 

She begged him for months to leave the Wraith, but Thaddeus believed she was getting highly emotional due to her pregnancy and the loss of her Farther, so he dismissed it. He had just had a promotion to Officer First Class, his career was taking off in the Elite.  Thaddeus then discussed the matter with his Captain, friend and mentor Temple. Told him about his late Father in law's Journals, and his wife's fears. Temple told Bach that he would be foolish to give up such a roll and he hinted that soon Bach would be in line for another promotion. Temple was the secret the leader of the Wraith, who only took commands from the Head Commander of The Elite,  Zuis Vetor. Only Vetor knew Temple commanded the Wraith, not even Thaddeus knew this at the time. 

However, unknown to Vetor , Temple had became greedy and bitter. He had used his position as a Wraith to further his career. But He wanted more.  Temple had gone from a lowly Corporal to now a  Captain First Class in a matter of years.  Usually getting promotion after an untimely death of another. Temple as a child had become obsessed with becoming a Elite Officer. He even went as far as having his head tattooed with Elite Symbols when he was young. He had asked his parents permission to join the Elite training program, but they  had refused. However, a week later both of Temple's patients died in fire at their home. Temple had survived as he had made a miraculous escape, or so he said. When  Captain Blowee  of  the local Elite Office came to investigate the fire he took pity on the young orphaned Temple, and with  his help had the boy enrolled into the Elite training program.  Blowee was well liked and respected within the Elite, and with a little help from him and through his many contacts,  Temple became the youngest person to ever become an Officer First Class.

Blowee even went as far to adopt Temple. However, Blowee had become ill via exposure to a rare toxin and died a few weeks later. The Doctors could not understand how he had become poisoned. His final words were reported to be "Why ?" that a nurse had heard him  whispered into the ear of his adopted son.   Temple was again an Orphan, but now a very rich one at that due to inheriting Captain Blowee's fortune. Which was substantial. 

Temple knew that Bach was a fine Officer, and one of the Best Wraith, but worried that he could out shine him or expose his illegal practices one day. Bach was sent on a mission to take down  a seriously dangerous Arms Dealer,  named Mixis Le Boni. Temple had offered to accompany Thaddeus on this occasion as he had an idea where the arms were being stored.  Bach was happy for any help, but did wonder how Temple knew the location, when he himself who had been investigating Mixis for a month had not turned up any concrete information at that time. All Bach knew for sure that Mixis Le Boni, was a Guanta, a reptilian type of biped. 

They arrived at the location Temple took the lead and lead them directly to bunch of caverns. The caves were full of weapons. They looked like they had just been unpacked. There were not security , there were no guards. Bach became even more suspicious when he spotted a Wraith communicator along  some of the weapons, and a Wraith Phase Pistol. How did Mixis obtain these ?

 It was not very long before they  located Mixis in one of the caverns, he looked like he was expecting them. He appeared not to be in anyway surprised to see them.  " Ah Captain Temple Welcome " Mixis said   walking  forward as if to greet them both.  Then Temple raised his hand as if he was indication Mixis to stop. Mixis looked confused. 

 Instead of  making an arrest and letting the courts rule on the punishment, Temple executed the  Dealer shooting him using an energy blast emanating  from one of  gauntlets.  The Blast passed straight through Mixis Le Boni killing him instantly.  The Blast was so powerful it melted the Rock behind him. 

Bach now knew that his suspicions about Temple's Wraith costume having extra abilities were correct. But why kill Mixis.....then it dawned on Bach that Temple knew Mixis. And Mixis was expecting them but had not expected to be killed. 

 Temple took out his communicator to called on Wraith reinforcements to join him, whilst Thaddeus examined the dead body of Mixis. On the body was another Wraith communicator. and its last signal received  had been sent by Temple himself. This had been a set up but why thought Thaddeus ?

.The Troops arrived in mere minutes, and  Temple ordered them to collect up all of the weaponry and take it back to the Wraith HQ. Temple must have pre arranged this too beforehand as there were so many Wraith and Transport Ships.  Temple  said he needed all these weapons  to help arm the Wraith for their future survival.   Thaddeus tried to object and  appose Temple's actions. He even tried threatening to quit the force and inform Zuis Vetor of these outrageous actions.   Temple just smiled and  reminded Thaddeus that no one resigns from the Wraith. The only way out was Death and he could arrange this  if Bach insisted.  He told Thaddeus that he was in fact the Leader of The Wraith, and that they answered only to him, not the Head of the Elite.  Temple had acted this way to test Thaddeus and his loyalty. Not to the Elite, but to him and his ideals.  In his eyes Thaddeus had failed the test, part of him knew this would be the case.  Temple  had already made plans to stop Bach reporting his actions to Commander Zuis Vetor. He could have executed him there and then, but with so many Wraith around it may prove to difficult to cover  yet another death up, 

Temple made Thaddeus a deal. If he kept quite and continued in his duties for another few Years, he would  be allowed to Thaddeus "Retire" and disappear. He could except this deal otherwise Bach's  wife Elua would be the next person to be "Visited"  by the Ghost Killer. Thaddeus knew that he could not risk any further argument with Temple, who he believed was totally mad.  So he agreed to Temple's deal.  

Returning home later that night, Thaddeus decided he could not live with Temple's threat hanging over him. Temple could have him killed or kill him when ever he wanted.  He told Elua everything and that they should run away and start a new life somewhere out in the Universe. She agreed, and said she had already planned such a departure. They had accumulated enough money for them to disappear and have a good and  a better life out there in the Universe. However, Temple had expected that this would happened and had sent some of the Wraith troops to spy on Thaddeus and his wife. These troops were totally loyal to Temple and when they saw that Thaddeus and Elua were planning to run, they attacked. In the fight,  out numbered and over powered, Thaddeus was knock out  by the guards. 

Some time later Thaddeus awoke found himself on a strange planet. He was dressed in his  Wraith Costume but minus any of its tech.. Thaddeus was surrounded by many of the Elite Guards, all  of which he knew were Wraith.  Also present was their leader Temple. Temple told him that Bach he had been judged and  sentenced to life imprisonment on this Ghost Planet. This planet that was so toxic, so barren that no known civilization in the Universe could survive on it for long.  Thaddeus asked why was he sentenced ? What Crime had he committed ? 

Temple then laughed and showed Thaddeus a report that claimed Bach had murdered his own wife and unborn child when she found out he was taking bribes from criminals. She had threaten to expose him as The Ghost Killer. And the T in her late Father's Journal stood for Thaddeus.  This of course was not true. Temple had framed Thaddeus, and took pride in telling him that he had even killed Elua himself. Telling him how she had begged him to spare her unborn child.    He then announced that he was was  the Ghost Killer and planned to kill  Zuis Vetor, the Head of The Elite the following day.....  He had killed Dr  Ulter who had secretly been working for the Wraith. Dr Uter had been used by Temple to reverse engineer a lot of tech that the Wraith had found on missions to other Ghost Planets.  Tech that the Wraith could use, or sell onto others. Most of the Arms dealers worked for the Wraith. Dr Ulter, had made the connection that Temple was the Ghost Killer, and had tried to blackmail Temple. So he had to die also. This was a shame, as this meant that many of the secrets of the Tech the Wraith used died with him.  Thaddeus Sank to his knees realizing that Elua was dead, his baby was dead. Looking up at Temple Thaddeus started to yell and got ready to attack. 

Temple shot Bach with an energy blast from his gauntlet  telling him he was a disappointment. The Blast was not like what he had used on Mixis, not bad enough to kill him, but it did cause him great pain. Then Temple allowed other Guards a chance to beat up a weakened Thaddeus. "Make sure you hurt him" Temple laughed, "but don't kill him.  Let the Planet do that" he continue. After an hour the Guards left a blooded and battered Thaddeus on the ground  to die  from his wounds. The last thing he remembered before passing out was the thruster jets from one of the Wraith Transport craft taking off. Then silence he was marooned and alone and dying.

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE part Forty Six A formal Meeting to help build a Team

 As the Doctor had requested Space Ghost and The Falcon had brought the newly repaired Dyno - Mutt along with Jace & Jan to the main meeting room.

Blip of course followed on behind. On reaching the Meeting room they entered. With Blip now leading the pack. 

 Around the large table sat  the others. Smiles were exchanged across the table.  However, there where two that seemed it was not love at first sight. Dyno looked straight at Phooey, and Phooey stared back. 

"So that's the Mechanical Mutt ? whispered Phooey to Jack. " We already have a Monkey, do we need another Pet ?" Phooey said dismissively  

"Please be seated " said the Doctor. 

Dyno - Mutt just glared at Phooey, who made a slight growling noise in response.

Jack just frowned 

Meanwhile an excited Jayna was smiling at her brother Zan. She always liked meeting new people. And these seemed like very interesting ones. She thought that the little Monkey was adorable. Reminder her of Gleek their alien Monkey that was back at the Hall of Justice. 

Zan knew what his sister was thinking and nodded his approval.

Everyone took a seat. The Doctor then rung a small silver bell he had taken out of his coat pocket.

 

" I call this meeting to order" Said the Doctor. Then he continued " Thank you for all being here and thank those of you who have adhered to my No Mask rule. In order that this meeting does not turning into a case or every one speaking at once, I would prefer that if anyone wants to say something they raise their hand first"

Everyone put up their hands, including Blip who held up both  after watching the others.

" Maybe we should leave the questions until later " The Doctor said with a smile.

"Ok"  he continued  "We will start by introducing ourselves to everyone else. I know some of you know some of the others already. However introductions would help those who do not and  be a reminder for others of who we are and what we can offer to the team " 

Standing up, The Doctor then introduced himself, and explained that he was from a race of people called The Time Lords. He was an adventurer who used his Tardis to travel through Time and Space. Until recently had been traveling with his friend Jamie McCrimmon who had originated from Scotland in the 18th Century.... but that The Grand Master  had kidnapped him, and threatened to kill him unless he, The Doctor, agreed to take up the challenge of assembling a team to battle a Team the Grand Master was building.  The prize was of the Victor the fate of the Earth. And looking around the table, now that it meant Earth's plural. The Doctor told everyone that he had done this once before, and had basted the Grand Master on that occasion, as he hoped would happen again. The Grand Master had indicated that he had already assembled is team, that were no doubt made up of vile evil people.  The Doctor then said that his team was far from complete, but hoped he could find some more good souls to help in his fight. 

The Doctors Story

"Right, that is me, and why I am doing what I am doing.... Now ... Samurai Jack please introduce yourself " The Doctor said pointing at Jack. 

Jack stood. He introduced himself as Jack, a samurai , a  warrior from  Japan.  He said he did not know his true name, but thought this had beed done to  avoid his arch Nemesis travelling back through time and killing him as an infant.  He believed he had been born in the 16th Century, but that The Doctor had met him not in his time but that of a strange future many thousands of years in his own future. .  Before Jack could end his Evil once and for all, Aku summoned the last of his strength and caste a great spell. Jack explained he had been flung into the future by  AKU  where he would meet his again. But this time he was even more powerful. This had been done so Aku could avoid his defeat and possible  destruction.  AKU was a great  evil sorcerer and demon who he Jack had sworn to destroy on behalf of all mankind.   In this strange future  Jack had found himself  was now ruled by Aku, who had used the time after banishing Jack to both build a mighty army of followers and increase his Dark Powers. He was far more powerful now than he had been.  They had battled many times over hundreds of years, but Aku was far too powerful in the future and time and time again had avoided utter defeat by Jack.. Jack also believed that the spell that Aku had caste to send him into the future has also made him  unable to age. Or maybe it was the effects of his enchanted Katana.  The Doctor had offered to help Jack to return him to his proper time which may enable him to finally defeat Aku as he was weaker in this time. Jack then drew his Katana then laid in on the table in front of the Doctor. This Katana was once owned by the Emperor of Japan. It had been forged by three ancient Gods Odin,  The All-Father of Asgard, Ra, the Egyptian God of the Sun  and Rama, The Hindu Deity and Avatar of The God Vishnu . This weapon had been forged to destroy Aku, and was formed to contain the Emperor's power of Righteousness. The Katana could only be used for good, and could not harm an innocent even if used by an Evil person.. " My Katana was forged as a weapon of good by the God's of ancient times themselves. I offer it and my support to The Doctor."   He then bowed and sat. 

Jacks Story

The Doctor thanked the Samurai for his support and his token, then looking down at the weapon he felt a little uneasy. Even if the sharp edge of the blade was pointing away from him he felt a compulsion to touch it. What would happen if he did ? Was he righteous enough to weld it ? or would it cut him ? He hoped he had a good soul, but he knew that more than once he had had to do bad things in order to help others. He believed he was a good person, but would the Katana agree ?

He asked Jack to take back his blade, and sheave it until it was needed. Jack complied.

The Doctor then pointed to Phooey. Phooey stood. He introduced himself  " My name is Penrod Pooch, but people call me Penry. I am the Janitor at a Police Station, but in my spare time I fight crime I am the masked hero HONG KONG PHOOEY "  he smiled and took his mask from out of his sleeve where he had placed it earlier.

Phooey went on to say he was a self taut master of many types of martial arts, but that he specialized in Kung - Fu.  An ancient and popular Chinese Martial Art especially where he lived. Unfortunately in his rush to join the Doctor he had forgotten to bring his "Little Book of Kung Fu" that he some times used for reference and ideas.  Phooey continued and explained that he and Jack may not have liked each other in the when they first met, but their love of fighting had brought them better understanding of each other. And with that togetherness.  He was please to announce that his new best friend was Jack. Jack was also helping hone his skills and was a killed teacher. The Phooey did a few Kung - Fu  movements as a  demonstration.  He then Bowed to Jack and to the whole table and sat down. 

" Hong Kong Phooey ?" Whispered Dyno.... " Does he not mean, I Mop Floor-y" He giggled.

"Dog Blunder, be quiet!" said The Falcon in a stern but soft voice.   He hoped no one had heard, but from the look on Penry's face the Falcon knew the Mutt Master of Kung - Fu had heard. As had the Doctor, and everyone else. Both Phooey and Dyno had sat at both ends of the table, and it was clear they did not like each other. 

This could be a problem, the Doctor thought to himself. He would need to sort this out fast before it escalated into a real Dog Fight. .

The Doctor then pointed to Space Ghost.... " Your Next Thaddeus " he said
