IT'S A DAWGS LIFE: October 2020

Now the Young King wanted to hear a little bit more about King Wayee and how he met his wife Puree.

As Wayee continued the tale of how he met his wife he took out his belt a small tablet on which he had many photos of Puree and their life together.

The first had three likenesses of Puree at three stages in her life. The First was of how she looked at the Academy when he first saw her. The Second was showed how she was dress on day he officially became First Prince. And Finally how she looked the day he became King and she became Queen.

Wayee reminded the Young King that his Father had wanted him to have the best education possible. That included having first hand knowledge of the "real" people of the Ankaraian Nation. This resulted him taking on a secret identity and enrolling on the major academy here on Karank. It was here at the Academy of Art and Design he had met Puree.

He had taken the name Ayee - Wok, and pretended to be the son of a Rich land owner on Karank who wanted his son to learn more about building techniques and design to help redesign his farms. He had not had to disguise his looks much, as he had been living much of his early life in privacy within the walls of main Palace of Biccinam which was sited just outside Karankie the Captial City on Home World Karank. As his Grandfather was still King at the time, and his Father was First Prince in waiting, Wayee never had to preform any Royal duties, So his face was unknown to most. He had grown a moustache and had his hair restyled to add a little bit of a disguise. He looked older which he liked.

His Grandfather King Drype and his father Prince Beya wanted Wayee to be safe, So they arrange for him to share the experience with a body guard who would go to the lessons with Wayee. The body guard would also share the apartment that had been arrange for Wayee to live in on Campus. This was a concern for his Mother too, but was pleased with who I been chosen for the roll.

The body guard was an Ankarian called Lym - Muttin. He was a few years older than Wayee. The Academy accepted all ages, so with Lym being a few years older was not an issue. He was a mountain of a man, and very strong. He was the son of one of King Drype's Royal Household..

However after a few weeks it was found that Lym was struggling to keep up with the syllabus and falling test results may have meant his expulsion from the Academy. Lym was great at some things but not others. Wayee suggested that if he had two body guards and Lym could now look after Wayee in the subjects he was better in and in his time outside learning. The other subjects he could drop, and the New Body Guard could take over these classes with the Prince.

Wayee asked his Grandfather if he could appoint the 2nd body guard himself. This was agreed an a young Barktoon called Fax- Mercine. Fax was known to Wayee as again Fax was the son of another one of the Kings household. Fax was very intelligent, spoke all of the different languages of the 16 Realms. Knew about self defense and was a skilled athlete.

The Barktoon joined the Wayee and Lym in the Rooms that had been provided on the Academy Campus. At this time Barktoon's were not totally accepted by others, as their frightening appearance and protruding teeth made them appear to others most unnerving. In reality the Barktoon were a peaceful friendly race. Many of them had taken up rolls is carers and nursing staff in the many hospitals in the Empire. A few had become Doctors aboard the many cargo and war ships that the Ankarian nation had. Many had died trying to save and treat the infect people of Meggallom, the Barktoon like many of the other races had been treated badly by all of the peoples of the 16 realms.

Swiping again Wayee showed Puree and two older people and a younger man. "Her Parents and brother ?" The Young King inquired. Wayee nodded and continued the story.....

Puree Tam'Atto was the daughter of a Rich Merchant who owned the majority of the transport vesicles that helped transport goods and people between planets. The Tam'Atto shipping company had existed for many generations, but as now the Ankararian Empire was much smaller, and contained within a Shielded Area most of their fleet was no longer needed. He had started to look at new ventures and made new acquisitions and Now Tam'Atto Shipping Company was renamed The Tam'Atto Corporation as it was more than it was. It included Farming, Building and Medicine. It was said that if one looked at all aspects of Ankarian life, The Tam'Atto was somewhere connected.

Puree's Father , Ploom Tam'Atto had amassed much wealth and had made many contacts over his life time. He was a proud Ankarian. He said that he was directly descended from one of the great leaders of the Original 13 Tribes of old. His skin colour was much darker than most, and this made him stand out from others he believed. He had friends in powerful places and was known personally by King Drype. He was a small man, but had grand ideas. If you worked for him, you worked only for him. If you did not work for him, you were considered his enemy. He was on the surface a mean and sometimes angry man, but this was he act. In fact he was kind and generous to his friends and employees.

Now Ploom Tam'Atto needed another new venture, and that had been start to look into constructing "Artificial Moons" that could help with the ever increasing population growth that was happening on most Planets. The idea of satellites was not new. Many of these had been built in the past as space stations or refiling points for the space vesicles. Many had been original monitoring stations watching over the Shield. Most of these were able to house a working population and crew of thousands. Ploom Tam'Atto wanted to build one big enough to house and home millions. So he had sent his Daughter Puree and her brother Chippt to learn the skills and technological knowledge to aid him in his plans. His own advisors had indicated that a construct on this size and scale was possible, but the technology to build it had not been perfected. Puree and Chippt were twins and both intelligent youngsters. However Puree turned out to be more inventive and better at design whilst Chippt was skilled in problem solving and had the ability to build things. Together their Father believed they could enable the Tam'Atto Corporation to be a even greater company. Puree could design it and her brother would then help in its construction. Ploom Tam'Atto knew he could never rule the empire, but he could become powerful enough to control the Ankarian Empire through wealth and position. Power is King he believed.

Ploom Tam'Atto and his wife Drie - Ryed Tam'Atto were great parents and gave their children the best of everything . However, Ploom decided that if he wanted his children to learn they needed to be close to home. Ploom had many enemies and he knew that his idea could easily be stolen by one of his competitors. He trust only 3 people. His Son, his Daughter and his Wife. He decided he did not want to broadcast the fact his children were at the academy. So he secretly bought up a slightly run down area around the Campus. This was both to protect his children and protect his investment in them. It just happened that this Area was close to where Wayee was living. All the people in the area would be vetted by Ploom and any one with connections to any of his competitors would be evicted or not have their lease renewed. Although he was a famous Business man he and his wife had done their best to shield their children from public gaze. So hopefully their identity would not be known. The Tam'Atto name was not that uncommon so connecting his children to himself or his wife was not an issue.

Ploom's, wife Drie- Ryed was also from a wealthly family. She was the heiress of the Frew-it Alliance who had been the major food suppliers in the Ankarian Empire. She had inherited the company at a young age. She wanted to show everyone she was just as good business person as her late Father. She was an extremely tall highly intelligent beautiful Woman. Who was not afraid to use could use some or all of theses factors when making a deal.

She decided to provide free food to starving people on some of the other worlds. Drie -Ryed Frew- it was not a stupid Woman, and was only supplying food that was surplus to requirements. Many of the food stuff that had been farmed over the years was manly for the feeding of the Military. But now that need was no longer as since the Ankarian Empire had sealed itself off from the rest of the Universe her, this excess food would have gone to waste. As the Planets and communities were getting "Food for Free" they overlooked that they WERE being charged for the service. She allied herself the then Young Ploom, who had started to make a name for himself. He had a large number of Space Ships doing nothing, so it was ideal for him. It was arranged for Ploom's company to transported the food for her. She made no Money on the deal . In fact she was saving Money on not having to destroy the surplus supply. On the other hand, he did make money on the deal by charging the planets for providing the service. Both were good business people, and found that their business contract became a marriage contract as a result. Their Individual Companies would remain under the control of each original owner , But were jointly known is The Ploom - Drie Union and the funds from their first joint venture was used in setting it up.
