YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE Part Thirty Seven Mechanical Mutt Meltdown

 

Dyno-Mutt had shown The Doctor what he could do., But he was getting very excited and he was starting to show off.

" Dog Wonder !" Shouted The Blue Falcon as he knew what happened when is Cybernetic Canine Partner got too excited

But Dyno-Mutt took no notice. He Started showing off many of the tools and equipment he had stored inside his body.

At First he extended his Rear Paws raising him off of the ground, and then did the same with one of his front Paws to steady himself. Then he changed his tail into a vacuum cleaner and started to suck up some of the fallen leafs that were on the grass. 

Next from an opening on his head emerged a Buzz Saw, he cut a small branch off of a nearby tree, which he then Vacuumed up.

Then from out of his Back emerged a Radar Antenna which started to Ping and Flash.

Then he extended his Left eye and turned it into a Periscope.

Then he extended his right Paw and a small Television Set emerged, and it was tuned to his favorite Saturday Morning Cartoon Show, Dyno - Mutt Dog Wonder & The Blue Falcon of course.

More and more bazaar Tools and Equipment started to emerge from different place on his body. ..... BUT THEN...

There was a smell of Burning, and smoke started rising from the different joints in his body,

"He's over loaded his cyber circuits, he's going to explode " Shouted The Blue Falcon

 Space Ghost Grabbed the Doctor and The Blue Falcon and Raised his Force Field around all three when.... BANG Dyno -Mutt Exploded and fell side ways.

Is This Curtains, For the Cyber Canine Crime Fighter ?

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE part Thirty Six Dyno - Mutt shows his Metal

 The Doctor, Space Ghost and the Blue Falcon all stood back whilst Dyno - Mutt prepared to give a demonstration of what he was capable of.  

Every one was quiet as Dyno-Mutt prepared himself

Dyno-Mutt settled himself and said "Prepare to be Amazed"

Dyno-Mutt then appeared to start to do a strange little dance. The Doctor thought a dancing talking Dog would bring little value to his team. 

Dyno-Mutt continued

Then The Doctor was surprised at what happened next...

Dyno-Mutts neck started to elongate.... then it returned to normal

Then his Front Paws elongated too.... they also returned to normal

Then Did his neck again stretch ....

The did his waste....

Then Rockets erupted from boots on his hind legs, and Dyno-Mutt took off into the Sky.

"Up, Up, and Away " shouted Dyno - Mutt as he flew Higher and Higher

He got so high that he appeared to have vanished.... then

He Started to descend 

Two Parachutes sprung out of his Front Paws to help slow his descent 

He landed safely and took a bow

Dyno - Mutt had finished his performance.

And giving a Wink to The Doctor Said " Can I join Your Team Doc ?"

"You are a Robot" exclaimed the Doctor very excited by what he has seen.

" We tend to call him a Cybernetic Canine " said The Blue Falcon who looked at little relived that his Canine partner has not muck up his audition.

The Doctor rushed over to Dyno- Mutt and patted him on the head.

" You feel like a real Dog !" said the Doctor laughing

" I am a real Dog, Doc " replied Dyno-Mutt

Then the Doctor inquired how he was able to locate him and Space Ghost when they were invisible.

"Easy, I have a built in Radar !"  said Dyno - Mutt in a boastful way.

" Do you want to see more Doc ? " asked Dyno-Mutt ?

Before the Doctor could answer, Dyno-Mutt hit the front panel on his chest. A door opened showing some of his mechanisms. The Doctor could see that the over all design was basic, but well in advance of what anyone should have been capable of designing or building in this time period.  

Dyno-Mutt was now starting to get excited. He loved showing off and being the centre of attention. The Blue Falcon was now starting to get a little bit concerned, as he knew when Dyno-Mutt got too excited things could and would happen. Things that were not always GOOD.

I find out what happens next come back next time.

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE part Thirty Five Meet Dyno Mutt and The Blue Falcon

The Tardis was on its way to Big City, USA on Earth. The Time Rota stopped moving.

"We have arrived " Said the Doctor with an excited grin

The date on the console read 11 September 1976.

The Doctor turned on the view screen. He could see they appeared to be in a large park in the centre of the City. He was unsure were the intended target was, but he knew they must be near.

The Tardis had landed under some trees, so would not look too out of place. Opening the door both Space Ghost and The Doctor stepped out. He had decided that he would leave the others in his team to enjoy their time exploring the Tardis interior. Unknown to both Jack and Phooey he had place a small device on each of them so he would know were they were. He had done this to the Twins and Blip too, with consent of Space Ghost. The Tardis was a marvelous place, but there was areas that could be dangerous. The Doctor knew they were all in the Swimming Pool so would be well entered whilst they were out on their recruitment mission.

Closing the door the Doctor and Space Ghost went off in search of the next member or members of his team.

All of a sudden they heard shouting and a mad cackling laugh. Then a strange man with Red Hair ran passed them. knocking the Doctor into the bushes. As Space Ghost helped him to his feet, they missed a man dressed in blue run by in pursuit of the Red Haired guy.

"   I got you  Mr Hyde   " A voice rang out. 

Both The Doctor and Space Ghost raced towards where it had originated,

The they saw the Red Headed man now in handcuffs and standing beside him was the person they were looking for .... The Blue Falcon.

 

Then a screeching of tryres could be heard. A Police Van had pulled up outside the Parks entrance. And out jumped three police men and a Dog Dressed in a Green Cowl and Cape.

" Good Boy  Dyno - Mutt " boomed the Blue Falcon

" Thanks B F " replied Dyno-Mutt

Then turning to the Police Man The Blue Falcon said " Take him away Sargent Moody, lock him away and throw away the Key "

Sargent Moody was not very happy, as Mr Hyde had been giving him and the rest of The Big City Police Department the run around for weeks.

"Well Willie the Weasel,  this will make me very happy to lock you up Yet again.  " Said Sargent Moody

" Don't forget to give him the Mr Hyde antidote " Boomed The Blue Falcon.

As the Police took Mr Hyde away, the Monster of a Man cursed and roared aloud.

"Thank You for bringing the Police so quickly my faithful hound" said The Blue Falcon patting his pooch on the head.

" BF " said Dyno-Mutt pointing with his Paw

Turning around The Blue Falcon pulled his Falcon Grappling hook from his utility belt  

"Show Your Selves " He instructed. 

Unknown at the time  to the Time Lord, Space Ghost had turn himself and The Doctor invisible so not to complicate maters.

As the Doctor and the Space Ghost slowly became visible, the Blue Falcon saw his old friend the Space Ghost... but he was uncertain who the other man was.

Walking towards each other the Falcon and the Ghost shock hands.

Then the Ghost introduced The Doctor.

Then the Doctor explained why he was there, and that he could use the Blue Falcon's assistance.

The Blue Falcon agreed to help, as with Mr Hyde now in jail he was able to offer any assistance to the cause. 

"Can I come too.... ? " Asked Dyno-Mutt

The Doctor could see that The Blue Falcon was a well trained crime fighter, but what could a Dog wearing a Green Cowl and Cape do to help he thought ? Ok he could talk, but what else could he do ?

"Well " said the Doctor.... " What skills do you think you have to add to my team ?" he continued.

The Ghost and The Falcon looked at each other. Would this be a demonstration by DYNO-MUTT Dog Wonder ! or DYNO-MUTT Dog Blunder ?

Dyno - mutt stepped back.... " Get ready to be amazed Doc ! " He exclaimed rubbing his front paws together.

Next Time Dyno-mutt shows the Doctor what he can do.

Yesterdays Heroes Once More Part Thirty Four Who's Next ?

 Whilst The Doctor chatted with The Space Ghost, Phooey and Jack took the Twins on a little tour of the Tardis. 

This was The Doctor's idea, as this would allow him to discuss the potential future members of the team he was building with Space Ghost. He knew that his friend Thaddeus was a good judge of character.  

 Exiting the control room the twins glanced at one another and smiled.

" Race you to the Swimming Pool " Shouted an excited Jace

With that the you teenagers shot off down the corridor.

Phooey looked at Jack and grabbing his arm  said " We have a swimming Pool ?  and then he chased after the Twins

Watching his little friend running off Jack shut his eyes

"Whats a Swimming Pool  ? " Exclaimed a puzzled Jack who then started running to catch up with the others.

Blip watch through the door as every one disappeared.... but he was more interested in watching The Doctor. 

The Doctor showed Space Ghost some of the names that he had already hi lighted. Most of them were unknown to Space Ghost, but some he had heard of.... one of them he had worked with before.

So the Doctor fed the location of the next potential member into the control consul. It was Big City USA, Earth on 11 September 1976. The Doctor pulled the switch and the time rota started to rise and fall. Blip was still sitting on it, and let out  a loud squeak as he jumped up off  of it and raced through the internal doors  in search of the twins.

Both The Space Ghost and The Doctor laughed.

The journey to the next location was to that far. It was in the same Universe as that of The Space Ghost, but at a much earlier time.

The information that The Doctor received from The Space Ghost was interesting.

In in his mind the Doctor believed this was a good addition to the team. Or was it ADDITIONS to the team ?

YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE Part Thirty Four A Date with a Deadly Widow

 As the Crew of the Phantom Cruiser and the Doctor's team were deep in conversation, no one knew that a number of space craft were heading in their location. 

Inside the Tardis a light on the console had began to flicker and the View screen had now re-tuned itself to show the space craft approaching. 

The Space Ghost had agreed to join the Doctor and become part of his team, however he also agreed that taking Jace and Jan with them would not be safe. The Doctor knew that the Twins were very capable at defending themselves, but taking children into a Theatre of War was not a sensible thing.

Both Phooey and Jack stood silent as the Twins received the sad news.

Space Ghost said that he would set the  ships autopilot to take the Phantom Cruiser back to base, and the twins would stay their until he return. The Twins were disappointed not to take part in this mission, but knew that Space Ghost and the Doctor were right about the danger.  Plus someone had to look after Blip.

Then the Doctor inquired what did the Tardis hit when the originally arrived in  this location,,,, and what was Space Ghost shooting at ?

The Space Ghost opened his mouth and said " One of The Black Widow's Artificial Bomb Comets "

" Still having trouble with that Awful Woman, Thaddeus   ?"  The Doctor replied

But before Space Ghost could answer........ A Blast from one of the Space Craft hit the side of the Phantom Cruiser. 

Then another and another blast was felt.

" Hull Breach !" shouted the Space Ghost as air started to leak out the of a hole  that had been made by the blasts. 

" Every one inside the Tardis " commanded the Doctor.

The Space Ghost pulled a few levers and punched some buttons, to try gain everyone more time. He sealed off the the front section that had developed the leak.

The two crews raced through the door of the Tardis as more and more  shots rained down on the Phantom Cruiser.  The Space Ghost was the last inside, and before the door closed he looked at his beloved Space Ship as yet another comet blasted through the hull.

Quickly shutting the internal doors the Doctor activated the time rota and the Tardis took off. 

Onboard her Spider Shaped Flag Ship the Black Widow laughed.... " Good Bye Space Ghost "

And as she was about to order her minions to fire again, she heard a voice emanating out of  one of the Ships speakers.

At last she had killed her nemesis ..... or had she ?

"Hello, Widow" Said the Voice... It was the Doctor. He had tapped into her communication network.

"Sorry to upset your plan, but I have someone who wants to speak with you !" The Doctor continued.

The smile drained from her face.

" Dear Black Widow, don't you know that you cannot kill a Ghost ? especially this One !"  it was Space Ghost of course.

The Widow let out a scream that sounded like a cross between a howling wolf and an eagle in pain.

" I would suggest you stop firing and think about running away before I initiate the Phantom Cruiser to self destruct. And the Blast will more than likely destroy you and your Spider Bombers also " Space Ghost added 

The Widow barked orders to her minions and the fleet of Spider Bomber Ships headed away at top speed.

Then Jace spoke " The Cruiser does not have a Self Destruct system ?"

" I know that, But the Black Widow doesn't " Laughed the Space Ghost

On the Tardis view screen everyone could see that the Phantom Cruiser was in a sad state. Jan was close to tears, and Blip was jumping up and down very upset too. 

 No way could the Twins return to it at the moment. On his belt Space Ghost activated a button. This both made the ruined vehicle fade from sight and also instruct the onboard computer to activate the self repair systems.

The Phantom Cruiser was now undetectable, and hopefully by the time her returned she would be as good as new.

"Well" Said the Doctor, "It looks like Jan, Jace and Blip will be coming along on this adventure after all " he continued.

Space Ghost nodded his approval, and Blip jumped up and down making every one laugh.
