YESTERDAYS HEROES ONCE MORE Part Fifty Eight..... The Crew take a Tea Break

 

The Team that The Doctor had assembled were one by one telling their tale of how they became the Hero they were today. So far Hong Kong Phooey, Samurai Jack, Space Ghost, Jan & Jace, and now The Blue Falcon had all told their tale. Even the Doctor had divulged some part of his past.  Next would be Dyno - Mutt. 

The Doctor was still worried that the initial  mutual dislike that Hong Kong Phooey & Dyno - Mutt had for each other was still an issue. However, he planned that this would be settled soon.

But before Reggie told the others how he became Dyno - Mutt The Doctor  asked The Twins Jace & Jan to go to the Tardis' galley and prepare  some refreshments for the group. They raced off excited in the direction of the galley after inviting Dyno - Mutt to join them.  Phooey licked his lips, he was hungry.  

Dyno - Mutt got up and winked at Blip, who jumped up off of his seat onto Dyno's  back, and like a jockey on the back of his Race Horse the pair galloped off after the twins. " Wait for me ! he howled.

The Doctor then  asked Space Ghost, Phooey and Jack to help direct the rest of the assembled to the galley also.  He  asked The Falcon to remain. 

" I have carefully thought over what you told me about that Group of heroes you that the Wonder Twins had suggested. " The Doctor said remember an earlier conversation with them.

"Yes, a ready made team" said Radley The Doctor had discussed this in private with The Falcon when they had been alone.

Then he and Radley returned to the Main Console Room where he wanted to check on the Tardis' controls to see when they were likely to arrive at the next place. 

The problem with the next possible candidates was they spent their time moving from place to place. They had no real base of operations. All the Doctor could do is generalist the area to be somewhere in North America. All he knew was it had to be after September 10th in the year 1966, as he knew these guys were active after that date. He adjusted the controls and the Tardis headed for New York City September 11th 1966, the day after the group he had their first official mission. Once there he could use the Tardis to scan for them.  He looked at the picture he had of this New group. In both their civilian life and their Hero work they all looked like very colourful characters. Radley had said he had worked with them in the crisis, the Wonder Twins only knew them by study. As they had never  actually met them, but they were considered legends in their time. The 1960's. By Radley's Time 1979 and that of the Wonder Twins 1978  this Trio from 1966 has disappeared. Radley believed that now they worked for a secret international organisation.  So where they were in 1978 the time period of the Twins no one knew. 

The idea of having an already bonded team join the crew would save time with training them, as they should be used to fighting along side each other. Although this was a different Earth, and part of the same  HB dimension as most of the others aboard, it was the same time period that he had currently been visiting in his own Universe. The 1960's.  He was looking forward to seeing how this worlds 1966 compared to "his".

"All this meeting people before you actually met them must be confusing at times !" said Radley

"Not to me" Smiled The Doctor flicking some switches.

After he had reset the coordinates the Doctor hurried with Radley to where everyone else was in the galley.

The Gallery was a large room, able to accommodate lots of people.  The Doctor rarely used it as there were small food replicators located all around the interior of the Tardis. However  with so many "crew" onboard he thought it could be the best place to feed them. 

There was many different types of foods available here, and it seemed everyone was enjoying what they had chosen.

The Gallery was alive with laughter and much merriment . Phooey and Jack were enjoying Venusian Ice Creams.

"This is really Good" Said Phooey slurping on his.

"Quiet, I am trying to Meditate" replied Jack. He had never tasted anything as wonderful as this before.

Zan & Jayna had Sodas  from the Rings of Valkyrie. Zan  had opted for the Green Pea Berry  and Jayna Red Blood Berry.  They looked like they were enjoying there drinks.

Jan and Jace had also opted for an Ice- Cream each. They shared a Blue Mist Surprise 

Once inside Space Ghost handed The Doctor a cup containing his favorite Galifien Tea.

Space Ghost then handed the Falcon a Mug of Scarlet Soup from the Planet Minky, This was what he was also enjoying.

Everyone was in a good moody. Many were discussing some of  the details that they had heard in the meeting room earlier. Then the Doctor spoke. He first thanks Jan and Jace for arranging such a wonderful spread. Everyone clapped.... Then the Doctor said 

" Whilst we are all here enjoying our refreshment maybe Reggie can tell us how he went from Normal Canine to the Super Cyber Canine he is today."

" Okay " said Reggie, "but will you help me BF ?" he added.... looking over at Radley

Radley aka The Blue Falcon nodded.

As the Tardis headed for the next location, Reggie stood up and prepared to tell  his story.

A Very Big Super THANK YOU 44,000 visitors

Originally I just planned to do TV's Super Girl as a one off for my latest THANK YOU a month ago. But I found I enjoyed the project and decided to add a few others from cast into the mix.

I may revisit TV's Super Girl again, but in the mean time its Goodbye and Thanks from the Maid of Steel

The Man in Black from Krypton....

Here is my final look at a character from TV's Super-Girl

In The Elseworlds cross over Superman choose to wear a Black Version of his costume.


However, was it really Kal-El ?   No spoilers here.

The Suit was basically a Black Version of the TV Superman costume, with  change to the logo and the Neckline.

Here is the more original look.

But as it turned out this Super Man was more of a villian with a god complex, Kara and her friends soon got to feel the full force of his might.

This Man of Steel was not the Boy Scout from Krypton as believed.

Kara Zor-El , a different Super Girl from Earth X

I like to do variants to my characters, here is The Nazi Version of Super-girl from  DC's "Arrowverse" TV shows cross over episodes Crises on Earth X

Here is Over-Girl as we first saw her.

I made her a little bit blonder than usual, to look a bit like the German Aryan Goddess she was shown as.

MON-EL from TV's Super-Girl

Although they tried a few different looks on Mon-EL they finally came up with this.  Which was basically a make over of the TV Superman costume, but in the accepted classic Mon -El from the Legion of Superheroes comics.

KAL EL The Man of Steel Cousin to TV's Supergirl

It took a little while but soon Super Girl shared some screen time with her more famous Super Cousin Kal- El or Clark Kent if you want.

As this was now a show that was not set in the Main Universe that Arrow, The Flash or Legends, this allowed the creators of the show a chance to reinvent the Superman costume. In the Comics at the time the red pants over the blue tights look had now gone. (sometimes it came back, and would end up become the yet again standard in comics) As they say don't try to reinvent the wheel.!!!

Anyway, the new look given to Superman, took parts of costumes worn by both Superman and Supergirl in the comics over the year. Even the texture of the costumes worn in the later Superman DC appearing n the Movies.

Here is my version of TV Supergirl's  super Cousin. I did did note that the costume had slight changes in the look between his appearances, but none to really worry about. But the big challenge was to get the hair right. This seemed to change all the time.

So I hope you like super cousin number 2

I slightly recoloured these so to bring both costumes into the same colour pallet.

Sorry that my post have been sparse, but hopefully I will get back up to speed very soon.

This is a Special first time look at a "NEW" version of Kara ZOR - EL aka the Maid of Might  SUPER-GIRL

I did many of her different looks a few years ago, every thing from her original first appearance in Action Comics #252 in 1959 up until her re booted look in 2015

BUT this time did a version that is now popular with a new generation. From the TV Cartoon Series DC SUPER HERO GIRLS........ meet....... SUPERGIRL  or Supes to her class mates.

The New Teen Titans Part Twenty Eight The Final Showdown

Last time I told how Dick Grayson had become Nightwing and he had learnt that Joseph Wilson son of Deathstroke was himself a person with extraordinary abilities.



As the Two "New" Heroes raced off to the secret location where HIVE were holding the Teen Teens, both Dick Grayson aka Nightwing and Joey Wilson aka Jericho had little idea what they would be facing, or what danger Dick's friends were in.

Nightwing was no newbie hero, but Dick was wearing a new costume and was carrying weapons and equipment that he had not truly tested or used in battle. Also he worried if Jericho was skilled enough to undertake the task in hand. There were no guarantees that their rescue attempt would work or would they be too late to save the Titans.

At this time the kidnapped Teen Titans were just about coming around after their capture.  They came face to face with Deathstroke and were made aware of HIVE and their involvement in the whole situation.


THE TEEN TITANS COME FACE TO FACE WITH THEIR ABDUCTORS

Just as the Titans were becoming aware of their situation, many of them were wondering where their teem mate Terra was all apart from Raven who although knew was not in a position to tell her friends.  The wait for   the answer of what had become of the youngest Titan was soon forthcoming as Deathstroke announced that he had had some assistance in capturing the Teen Titans with the help of TERRA herself.

Terra laughed at the Heroes and teased them with what she really thought of them. She even implied that she and Slade were an item and lovers. (the under aged sex was not discussed, but we all knew ) . The Team were then told that their powers were being negated by the machine they all found themselves strapped to, except for Raven who was still partly sedated as her powers being mystical seemed to not be able to be controlled in the same way.

THE TRUE TERRA MAKES HERSELF FINALLY KNOWN

The shock and disbelief was hard for all of them to grasp, more so for Changeling who realised Tara's love for him was fake.

During this event both Nightwing and Jericho had managed to break into the Hive Head Quarters, and had made good progress in getting to where their friends were being held.....but before they managed to free the other Titans, they themselves had also been captured. Terra had spotted them and had used her incredible powers to knock them out.

Terra announced to Slade that she had captured Dick Grayson and brought him bound before the other Titan's. This was the first time they had see Dick dressed as Nightwing.

Following behind was Jericho, who Slade recognised as his son Joseph.  The shock of this  caused Slade to let his guard down, thus allowing  Jericho to make contact with his father and his first action was to take a swipe at Terra. Unaware of why her "Lover" had hit her she retaliated and attacked Deathstroke.

In the confusion the machine holding the Titans was destroyed freeing the team to take on Terra and the Hive.

Terra's temper rises and rises and she starts attacking everyone, Slade tries to convince Terra that he is not in control of his own actions, but as she and the others do not know about Jericho's powers she can only assume that he has also turned on her.

As the battle rages on, each of the Titans tries to calm Terra, but each of them are nearly killed in the process, finally Changeling attacks her in the shape of a Fly in her eye..... The result is that Terra's RAGE finally make her lose control over her powers causing havoc and destruction.

TERRA STARTS TO LOSS CONTROL OF BOTH HER EMOTIONS AND HER POWERS.

As her rage grows she finally realises she has lost control of her abilities and in an attempt to reign in her powers realises she needs to sacrifice her own well being.

 From the look on her face at the final moments it is believed she took her own life to help protect the others around her.  It may be a touch of clarity of the situation or just that Tara did not care about her own life anymore. Maybe the rejection she had received from Deathstroke was finally too much for her damaged mind to take.

When Changeling finally found  her body in the wreckage, he cannot help but be saddened by what may have been .

There are no winners in this battle, just losers.

The Teen Titans decide to cover up the real reason for Terra's death to help her Brother Brion aka Geo-Force deal with his loss. She is buried as a Hero. The Titans believe deep down inside she was a good person, but her unhappy personal life had caused her to resent others and lead her down the dark path she had taken.

Wilson Slade is taken into custody it appears willingly, and Joseph Wilson is invited to join the Teen Titans.
